The method includes a first grinding step for grinding an edge of a sheet glass so as to provide the edge with an outwardly convex curved shape, and a finishing step for finishing a bordering portion which has been formed by the first grinding step between the curved edge and each flat side face of the sheet glass, so as to provide this bordering portion with a greater smoothness than smoothness provided by the first grinding step. A heat-tempered sheet glass using the method and a fire-resistant construction material using this heat-tempered sheet glass are also disclosed.

    摘要: A paving composition comprising asphalt and micro-granular coal which are uniformly combined integrally with each other without thermal decomposition of said coal and a method for producing a paving composition which comprises triturating a mixture of asphalt and coal at a temperature below the thermal decomposition point of the coal thereby to reduce the diameter of the resulting micro-granular coal to 1 to 100.mu. and, at the same time, to achieve the uniform integral combination of asphalt and coal. Thereby, there is provided a paving composition which is excellent in thermal stability, weather resistance, adhesive property, sticking strength, viscoelasticity and workability. Moreover, besides the main components, asphalt and coal, various modifying agents or additives may be further incorporated so that the properties of the paving composition can be further improved.

    摘要: A target space ratio of a monitor pattern on a substrate for inspection is determined to be different from a ratio of 1:1. A range of space ratios in a library is determined to include the target space ratio and not include a space ratio of 1:1. The monitor pattern is formed on a film to be processed by performing predetermined processes on the substrate for inspection. Sizes of the monitor pattern are measured. The sizes of the monitor pattern are converted into sizes of a pattern of the film to be processed having a space ratio of 1:1, and processing conditions of the predetermined processes are compensated for based on the sizes of the converted pattern of the film to be processed. After that, the predetermined processes are performed on a wafer under the compensated conditions to form a pattern having a space ratio of 1:1 on the film to be processed.

The linear guide apparatus includes a retainer for retaining plural cylindrical rollers rotatably in a rolling element rolling passage. The retainer includes an opening portion and accommodates for retention of the plural cylindrical rollers in the opening portion. The retainer also includes an endless seal unit surrounding the opening portion. The seal unit includes an inward facing lip inclining toward the inner side of the opening portion and extending toward the guide rail to be in sliding contact with the guide rail. The inward facing lip is formed continuously all around the seal unit. The seal unit includes an outward facing lip inclining toward the outer side of the opening portion and extending toward the guide rail to be in sliding contact with the guide rail, in addition to the inward facing lip.

    摘要: Disclosed is a collagen powder and/or a collagen derivative powder, which are obtained by dispersing in a hydrophilic organic solvent a crude collagen precipitate which comprises 12 to 50% by mass of a collagen precipitate and/or a collagen derivative precipitate having an average particle size of 1 to 1,000 μm, recovering solids and then drying the solids. By dispersing the crude collagen precipitate in the hydrophilic organic solvent, the resulting precipitates can be dehydrated, so that drying of the thus obtained solids can be done by air-drying. In addition, the resulting collagen powder and/or collagen derivative powder exhibit excellent solubility due to an increased specific surface area and also have excellent ease of handling with the average particle size being 8 to 1,000 μm.
