Abstract:
A motor drive for conditioning power to be delivered to a non-motor load includes a voltage feedback circuit that monitors a DC bus voltage and, based on changes in the DC bus voltage, adjusts a power conditioning scheme such that near steady-state load conditions are maintained in response to a transient load condition. The voltage feedback circuit has a voltage sensor that provides voltage feedback to a controller that determines what changes in power conditioning are needed in response to a transient load condition that manifests itself in a change in DC bus voltage.
Abstract:
A desk-top paper punch includes a drawer for removable insertion into the base of the paper punch, the drawer serving as a collection receptacle for paper punches to be discarded. Once the drawer is near its capacity, the drawer is pulled out of the base for emptying. Means for viewing the contents of the drawer is provided. In one implementation, the view means is a transparent window which allows the viewer to know when the drawer in nearing its capacity for paper chips. In a second embodiment, the viewing means is at least one viewing aperture that perforates the top surface of the base of the paper punch that allows the user to view the drawer's contents.

One embodiment includes a wafer stack comprising a first wafer having a first metal pattern disposed on a top surface, a second wafer having a second metal pattern disposed on a top surface, and an interposer disposed between the top surface of the first wafer and the top surface of the second wafer, the interposer having a pattern of metal vias disposed in a cured thermosetting plastic, the pattern of metal vias being aligned with and electrically coupled to the first metal pattern and the second metal pattern.
Abstract:
A method for dynamically controlling regenerating energy flow and direct current bus voltage for an adjustable frequency drive system includes sensing a direct current voltage of a direct current bus; and sensing a plurality of alternating currents at outputs of an inverter. The sensed alternating currents are transformed to a stationary current vector. Voltage and frequency values are converted to a stationary voltage vector and an angle. The angle and the stationary current vector are transformed to a rotating current vector including torque and flux producing current components. An induction machine generating mode is determined when the torque producing current component reverses polarity. The voltage and frequency values limit the direct current voltage of the direct current bus at a predetermined threshold responsive to the generating mode. The stationary voltage vector and the angle are converted to pulse width modulated control inputs of the inverter.
Abstract:
An automatic keyboard testing apparatus includes a pair of support arms fixed to a machine frame for supporting a keyboard to be tested therebetween. A clamping device secures the keyboard between the support arms. A test module has testing units for operating/testing pushbuttons, a knob and indictors of the keyboard. A key actuating device comprises a plurality of key depressing elements movably mounted thereto. Each key depressing element forms a pressurized air stream outlet for applying a pressurized air stream to a corresponding key of the keyboard for actuating the key. A conveyor mechanism moves the key actuating device across the keyboard for sequentially actuating the keys of the keyboard. A keyboard coupling device electrically couples the keyboard to a processor-based determination device to receive signals therefrom for determining if the tested keyboard is properly functioning. A warning device is connected to the determination device for giving off a warning signal when the keyboard fails the test.
Abstract:
A computer aided design system assists the user in defining and editing geometric objects. It proposes several useful geometric relations between the cursor position and the already defined geometric object independent of the cursor position. The user may accept one of the proposals, or reject all of them. For example, if an already defined circle is within the catch range of the cursor position, the system proposes to draw a line from the cursor position to the center of the circle, and it proposes tangents from the cursor position to the circle.
