摘要: A method and system are disclosed for querying information from a switch by a first server of plural servers in a computer network. In accordance with exemplary embodiments, the first server extracts connection information from an information packet transmitted to the first server. The first server determines whether the first server is handling a connection associated with the information packet. The first server constructs a query information packet when the first server determines that the first server is not handling the connection associated with the information packet. The query information packet includes query information for a switch. The first server forwards the query information packet to the switch. The switch constructs a response information packet. The response information packet includes a secondary network address of a server of the plurality of servers that is handling the connection associated with the information packet. The switch forwards the response information packet to the first server.

摘要: The present disclosure allows for the downloading of large digital media files in a progressive manner by allowing for a transfer of such digital media to occur over various sessions. A file server is described that receives a request to transmit a file whereupon the file server locates such requested file in its memory. For verification purposes a unique identifier is computed for the requested file such as an MD5 checksum of the digital file. Thereafter an encryption key, K1, is chosen. Using a second key, K2, the first key and the unique identifier are encrypted, and the requested file is encrypted using the first key. Both these encrypted values are then transmitted. Subsequently, for example, after payment is received, an unencrypted form of the first key is also transmitted. The first key can then be used to decrypt the requested file to unlock full functionality of the requested file.

摘要: An assembly for permitting “Power-over-Ethernet” (PoE) connection between a PoE control device and the components of a cabling network includes a patch panel or conventional design. The patch panel includes on a front face thereof a plurality of first sockets that are each open on the front face such that a plug inserted into the first socket is connectable to a data cable via a data transmission path forming part of the patch panel. The assembly includes a distribution matrix that is securable onto the front side of the patch panel, the distribution matrix including a plurality of through-going apertures corresponding in number and location to the first sockets of the patch panel such that when the matrix member is secured on the patch panel a said aperture is functionally in register with each of the first sockets. The distribution matrix includes a power bus supported thereby. The assembly includes one or more connector devices, and the power bus is connectable to a PoE controller.

摘要: The present invention provides a system and method of synchronizing a cache that substantially eliminates or reduces disadvantages associated with previously developed systems and methods of synchronizing caches. More particularly, embodiments of the present invention provide a system and method for bi-directional synchronization of a cache. One embodiment of the system of this invention includes a software program stored on a computer readable medium. The software program can be executed by a computer processor to run in user space and perform steps comprising: receiving a database asset from a database; storing the database asset as a cached file in a cache; determining if the cached file has been modified; and if the cached file has been modified, communicate the cached file directly to the database. In one embodiment of the present invention, the software program can determine if the cached file has been modified through automatic notification from a file management system. Alternatively, the software program can poll a cached file to determine if the cached file has changed. In another embodiment of the present invention, the software program can be further executable to perform the step of prompting an operating system to open the cached file in an application associated with the cached file's file type. In yet another embodiment of the present invention, the software program can be further executable to receive notifications from a database of when contention for a database asset occurs. Thus, bi-directional synchronization can occur.

In some embodiments, the PMEs may comprise at least one of peptides, fatty acids, bacteriocins, cell surface proteins, phospholipids, teichoic acids, and nucleic acids, and may be combined with one or more prebiotics, such as oligosaccharides, inulin, short-chain fructo-oligosaccharides, xylooligosaccharides, galactooligosaccharides, soyoligosaccharides, and lactulose/lactitol. Methods for preparing and using a shelf-stable consumable composition for promoting digestive health in a subject are also described.

摘要: Embodiments disclosed herein provide a cache management system comprising a cache and a cache manager that can poll cached assets at different frequencies based on their relative activity status and independent of other applications. In one embodiment, the cache manager may maintain one or more lists, each corresponding to a polling layer associated with a particular polling schedule or frequency. Cached assets may be added to or removed from a list or they may be promoted or demoted to a different list, thereby changing their polling frequency. By polling less active files at a lower frequency than more active files, significant system resources can be saved, thereby increasing overall system speed and performance. Additionally, because a cache manager according to embodiments disclosed herein does not require detailed contextual information about the files that it is managing, such a cache manager can be easily implemented with any cache.
