摘要: A virtual machine control method for a supercomputer enables a plurality of virtual machines to use a vector processor. Control of the use of the vector processor is through the scalar processor. When a virtual machine requires use of the vector processor, it is first determined whether one of the other virtual machines operating systems is using the vector processor. If not, the scalar processor is dispatched to the operating system requesting use of the vector processor. If another virtual machine operating system is using the vector processor, then the operating system requesting use of the vector processor is placed in a wait state until the vector processor becomes free, whereupon the scalar processor is dispatched to the operating system that had been in the wait state. The condition of the vector processor being free can be communicated directly to the scalar processor without the intervention of the virtual machine monitor.

摘要: An audiovisual system allows a plurality of audiovisual devices to be interconnected for convenient operation from a single set of function keys. The system includes a first AV device and other connected AV devices connected so as to bidirectionally transfer data. Control data from connected devices are read by a CPU of the first device and written to a RAM memory portion of the first device. When a function key of the first device is operated, a connected device is operated according to the control data read therefrom and stored in the first device. A memory card incorporating control data for the external devices may further be accessed by the first AV device for reading control data for the external devices. A particular function key may control as many functions as there are connected devices in the AV system.

摘要: An infrared data transmission and reception system capable of avoiding adverse effects due to infrared external noises includes a data transmitting circuit and a data receiving circuit of which the former is so constructed as to add a signal-free region of a predetermined length or a trailer to the terminating end of each of the frames of a data bit pulse train and the latter is so constructed as to discriminate between transmitted data and external noise by detecting whether or not the region corresponding to the trailer is signal-free with respect to a detected output, whereby a proper encoding output is generated on the basis of the discrimination.

摘要: A radiographic apparatus for obtaining a radiological phase contrast image, the radiographic apparatus includes: a radiation source, a first grating, a second grating, a scanning unit, and a radiological image detector. The radiation source includes a radiation tube, a driving power supply unit, and a radiation source control unit. The radiation irradiated from the radiation tube is controlled so that a remaining output after the feeding of the power to the radiation tube by the driving power supply unit is stopped becomes substantially zero, and the scanning unit performs a relative displacement operation after the radiation irradiated to the first grating is effectively cut off by the radiation source control unit.

摘要: An observation apparatus is provided. An apex angle of a contact prism is inputted by operating an apex angle setting knob of a control panel. A fining angle of the contact prism is inputted by operating a fitting angle setting knob. A control unit determines the amount of correction for astigmatism of a left observation optical system and the amount of correction for astigmatism of a right observation optical system based on a recognized observation magnification and the inputted apex angle. An axial angle for the astigmatism of the left observation optical system and an axial angle for the astigmatism of the right observation optical system are determined based on the inputted fitting angle. Variable cross cylinder lens rotating drive units are controlled to rotate cylinder lenses of each of the right and left observation optical systems, thereby obtaining the determined axial angle and the determined amount of correction.
