摘要: A chain tensioner is provided, in which the design conditions of a register ring are optimized in compliance with the required functions so as to improve the durability, the operational stability and the like of the chain tensioner. A register ring is formed of a steel material having a tensile strength of 1000 to 3500 N/mm2. At the same time, an overlapping allowance of the register ring with respect to engagement grooves of a plunger is set within the range of 30 to 50% of a wire diameter of the register ring. Furthermore, a bending stress generated in the register ring when the register ring is made to slide between the engagement grooves to increase its diameter is set within the range of 500 to 1700 N/mm2.

摘要: A light source (60) is provided in the rear of display means (30), which has a light transmission type display and is made up of pixels (31) for left and right eyes and a first image separation mechanism (32) for the left and right eyes, with a lens unit (41) having a collecting power in a vertical direction and a second image separation mechanism (52) therebetween. The transmission light from the light source (60) spreads in the vertical direction as shown in the drawing. Such spread of the light occurs over the whole of a display surface. It is therefore possible to view the image on the display surface, when the viewer's head is located at any of positions 1 to 4. Accordingly, it becomes possible to make a degree of freedom in vertical (up-and-down) positional movement of the viewer's head.

摘要: An average signal level of imaging signals obtained by a solid-state image pickup device of an image pickup unit 112 is detected by an average signal level detection circuit 116. Based on APL (average picture level) data specifying the average signal level APL as detected by this average signal level detection circuit 116, a system control micro-computer 117 refers to a table of an average signal level versus correction level finction specifying the correction level in the plural average signal levels previously stored in a memory 118 to read out flare correction data conforming to the APL data. A D/A-LPF circuit 119 converts the flare correction data by digital/analog (D/A) conversion to generate flare correction data, which are summed by adders 114R, 114G and 114B to imaging signal obtained by said solid-state image pickup device.

摘要: A bearing steel includes 0.70 to 0.93 wt % of C, 0.15 to 0.50 wt % of Si, 0.50 to 1.10 wt % of Mn and 0.3 to 0.65 wt % of Cr, with the balance being Fe and incidental impurities, and it has the ratio Cr/C specified to fall within 0.4 to 0.7. Because of these compositional features, the generation of macro carbides is prevented and the need to perform soaking at high temperature for a prolonged time is eliminated. Further, the bearing steel saves the materials cost and the overall cost of heat treatments in the manufacture of bearings and which yet is capable of satisfying the requirements of various characteristics of bearings, as well as a rolling bearing that employs the bearing steel.

摘要: The present invention provides PCR primers with which sexing of bovine embryos can be easily attained and provides a practical, rapid and reliable method for determining the sex of bovine embryos using these primers. The methods for determining the sex of the bovine embryos are characterized by discriminating PCR products which are obtained by amplifying specific DNA sequences by PCR with pairs of male-specific and gender-neutral primers. These primers are derived from DNAs which specifically hybridize to the bovine male genome and from DNAs which gender-neutrally hybridize to both bovine male and female genomes.
