    摘要: The present invention relates to a method for quantifying and/or detecting one or more nucleic acids of a genome in a sample, wherein in an amplification reaction, (i) a first nucleic acid is amplified, the locus that is amplified is a multicopy locus (MCL) within the genome, wherein the locus shares at least 80% sequence identity to a sequence according to SEQ ID NO. 1 over a stretch of 80 base pairs, and wherein the multicopy locus has copies on at least two different chromosomes, (ii) a second nucleic acid that has been added as an internal control (IC) is also amplified, and (iii) the amount of amplification product from the amplification of the first nucleic acid is determined.

    摘要: The present invention provides an aptamer or pool of aptamers (nucleic acid sequences) that bind(s) to a target molecule on the surface, accessible from the surface or inside of a mammalian sperm cell and a method for producing the aptamers. The method comprises contacting a collection of different nucleic acid molecules with the target molecule under conditions favorable for binding between at least one of the nucleic acid molecules and the target molecule, to form at least one complex comprising the nucleic acid molecule bound to the target molecule, wherein each of the nucleic acid molecules comprises at least one segment of randomized nucleotide sequences. The complexes are then separated from the unbound nucleic acid molecules and unbound target molecules, and the bound nucleic acid molecule is recovered from the separated complex. The aptamers are used to separate sperm cells based upon sperm cell qualities, such as whether the cells contain X chromosomes or Y chromosomes.

    摘要: The invention provides a method for isolating or enriching a rare cell from a biological fluid of a mammal employing an antibody that binds a cell-surface antigen of the rare cell. The immobilized antibody is incubated with a sample of biological fluid that includes the rare cells and a plurality of other cells so as to form an antibody-rare cell complex. The complex can be detected or isolated and subsequently analyzed by any of a variety of physical, chemical and genetic techniques.
