The magnetism-resistant section covers a portion of a substrate of the control device, and a portion at which the conductive layer is exposed is in contact with the housing or a part conducting heat to the housing.

A pressure changing mechanism changes pressure between first and second separating portions. A contact force controlling portion controls the shifting mechanism to provide a first contact force when the feeding portion starts a feeding operation, and controls the shifting mechanism, at a first timing, to reduce the contact force from the first contact force to a second contact force. A pressure controlling portion controls the pressure changing mechanism to provide a first pressure between the first and second separating portions when the feeding portion starts the feeding operation, and controls the pressure changing mechanism, at a second timing, to reduce the pressure from the first pressure to a second pressure while nipping the separated sheet between the first and second separating portions.

The full-width cleaning member is disposed in the single main transportation path. The full-width cleaning member has a full-width cleaning portion wider than a recording medium. Each partial cleaning member has a partial cleaning portion wider than is the corresponding recording-medium separating member.

A sheet transport path 38 is defined between a sheet supply section 7 provided with a separation pad 13 and a sheet supply roller 12 and an image forming section 5. Along the sheet supply section 7, at least a first paper dust removing roller 9b having a width slightly greater than the width of the separation pad 13 and a second paper dust removing roller 10b having a width slightly greater than the sheet width are disposed. Paper dusts generated upon friction against the separation pad 13 are removed by the first paper dust removing roller 9b, and paper dusts spreading over entire surface of the sheet are removed by the second paper dust removing roller 10b.

    摘要: A novel process for producing clay derivatives having porous structure comprises hydrolyzing a metal alkoxide such as Al(OR).sub.3, Ti(OR).sub.4 and Si(OR).sub.4 in which each R represents a linear or branched hydrocarbon group having from 1 to 6 carbon atoms, deflocculating the resulting hydrolyzate with an acid to obtain a hydrous metal oxide sol, and reacting the sol with smectite.The thus obtained porous clay derivatives have larger interlaminar interstices and a larger surface area than conventional ones. The interstices can be arbitrarily controlled by the acid amount. In addition, the derivatives are thermally stable so that they can be widely utilized in various fields as pigments, encapsulating agents, adsorbents, catalysts, carriers for catalysts and the like.
