The present invention is related to the use of secretagogue peptides repeatedly administered as part of a pharmaceutical composition that prevent and eradicate the deposition of pathological fibrotic material in parenchymal tissues of internal organs like the liver, lungs, esophagus, small intestine, kidneys, blood vessels, joints, and other systemic forms of cutaneous fibrosis of any etiopathogenesis. Additionally, these peptides prevent and eradicate deposition of amiloid and hyaline materials in any of their correspondent chemical forms and tissue manifestations in the brain, cerebellum, blood vessels, liver, intestines, kidneys, spleen, pancreas, joints and the skin, among others. By this way, cellular, tissular and organ dysfunctions generated by these depositions are corrected. The peptides of the present invention are infiltrated or topically applied, contributing to prevent and eradicate keloids and hypertrophic scars in the skin, derived as sequelae of burns and other cutaneous trauma.

The present invention also refers to a pharmaceutical composition comprising an effective amount of telocinobufagin; also provides a method to induce analgesia in response to acute and chronic pains that comprehends administering an effective amount of telocinobufagin to human beings or animals. According to the outcomes of in vivo assays, telocinobufagin is more potent than morphine, though without presenting the known side effects of opioids. In addition, in vivo and in vitro essays showed that TBC does not present cardiotoxicity.

This invention is related to the Molecular Pharmacology field and especially to the development of peptides useful for treating epithelial tumors and mainly those associated to oncogenic types of HPVs. The main objective of this invention is to identify peptides whose structure permits to block the Casein Kinase II (CKII) phosphorylation domain by direct interaction with such a site. In the present invention it is shown eleven cyclic peptides with different aminoacid sequences which inhibit the CKII phosphorylation in vitro, exhibit cytotoxicity on HPV-16 transformed cells (CaSki) and also increase the sensitivity of these cells to the cytostatic effect of interferon (IFN). Furthermore, the invention relates to the use of these peptides conjugated or fused to other peptides and chemical compounds which penetrates into cells as well as with the use of both peptide and chemical mimetic molecules.

Use of a novel vaccine antigen applied in a preventive or therapeutic way against diseases in general, being such disease of bacterial, viral, cancer related, or other origin.The technical objective that this invention pursues is the development of formulations with the ability to increase the protective spectrum of existing vaccines and hence expanding it against different pathogens.In order to achieve this goal the NMB1125 protein was isolated and identified as a component of outer membrane preparations of Neisseria meningitidis capable of inducing bactericidal activity.Additionally, the gene codifying for NMB1125 protein was cloned and expressed, and the said polypeptide was purified and its immunogenicity evaluated in animal models. The sequence data from homologous genes showed, due to the high degree of conservation, its high value as a target antigen of a cross-reactive response when it is presented by different routes. Resultant formulations of this invention are of use in the pharmaceutical industry as vaccine formulations for human use.
