    摘要: A throttle control system for an internal combustion engine includes a first lever which is pivotable around a longitudinal axis of a throttle shaft depending upon movement of an accelerator pedal, and a second lever which extends radially from the throttle shaft and is fixed thereto. The system further includes a transmitting mechanism which mechanically transmits pivotal motion of the first lever to the second lever so that the angular position of a throttle valve fixed to the throttle shaft varies in response to depression of the accelerator pedal. The transmitting mechanism optionally changes the ratio of the pivotal angle of the first lever from that of the second lever, so as to change the relationship between the depression rate of the accelerator pedal and the opening angle of the throttle valve.

    摘要: A planetary gear type multistage transmission is shown which comprises a first planetary gearset, a second planetary gearset, an input shaft and an output shaft. A pinion carrier of the second planetary gearset is united with a pinion carrier of the first planetary gearset. The input shaft is united with the pinion carrier of the second planetary gearset. The output shaft is united with an internal gear of the first planetary gearset. A first clutch is employed for selectively engaging the sun gear of the first planetary gearset with the pinion carrier of the same. A second clutch is employed for selectively engaging the sun gear of the first planetary gearset with the pinion carrier of the second planetary gearset. A th ird clutch is used for selectively engaging the pinion carrier of the second planetary gearset with the internal gear of the same. A first brake is employed for selectively braking the sun gear of the first planetary gearset. A second brake is employed for selectively braking the pinion carrier of the first planetary gearset and a third brake is employed for selectively braking the sun gear of the second planetary gearset.

    摘要: A method for automatically tightening a tapped member such as a nut is disclosed. A socket of an open end air wrench mounted on a nut tightening robot is coupled with the tapped member. The robot rotates the socket in a first direction, i.e., a tightening direction, to a first relatively small torque, and subsequently rotates the socket in a second direction opposite to the first direction to a predetermined position, i.e., a central receptive position after the socket being disengaged from the tapped member. A rotary encoder is provided to generate pulses in response to the rotation of the socket in the second rotational direction. An angle of rotation of this rotation of the socket in the second direction is detected by counting the number of pulses generated by the encoder. In response to the detected angle of rotation a torque wrench is coupled with the tapped member and the robot rotates the torque wrench in the tightening direction to a second relatively great torque.

    摘要: A system and method for automatically controlling a vehicle speed to a desired cruise speed are disclosed in which a vehicle speed sensor which output an analog quantity corresponding to a current vehicle speed is provided, a vehicle speed determining circuit which derives the current vehicle speed on the basis of the analog quantity derived from the vehicle speed sensor and determines whether the derived current vehicle speed is below a predetermined speed above which the cruise speed control run is appropriate is furthermore provided independently of a control unit of the system. When the vehicle speed determining circuit outputs a determination signal indicating that the current vehicle speed is below the predetermined speed and the control unit outputs a predetermined control command signal, a power supply line connected to a throttle valve actuator is, at first, interrupted. Then, the power supply to the control unit is interrupted.

    摘要: A bearing supporting arrangement is provided for a turbocharger having a turbine shaft provided with turbine and compressor wheels. The bearing supporting arrangement includes first and second cylindrical oil film damper members, each of which is supported in a floating state through an oil film to the inner peripheral surface of a bearing housing thereby constituting an oil film damper. First and second annular ball bearings are coaxially fixedly supported respectively to the first and second oil film damper members. A generally cylindrical thrust receiving member is interposed between the first and second oil film damper members to be contactable with the first and second oil film damper members. The thrust receiving member is fixed at an axially intermediate portion to the bearing housing by a pin fixed to the bearing housing so as to be movable to make contact with the bearing housing. A first clearance (C.sub.1) is defined between the bearing housing and the thrust receiving member, while a second clearance (C.sub.2) is defined between the bearing housing and each of the first and second oil film damper members. In the above arrangement, a first ratio (C.sub.1 /L.sub.1), of the first clearance (C.sub.1) relative to the axial length (L.sub.1) of the thrust receiving member, is set smaller than a second ratio (C.sub.2 L.sub.2) of the second clearance relative to the distance (L.sub.2) between the axially outside end face of the first oil film damper member and the axially outside end face of the second oil film damper member.

    摘要: A steering lock system for locking a steering system of an automotive vehicle equipped with an automatic transmission. The steering lock system is comprised of a selector position sensor for detecting a selected position of a selector lever for the automatic transmission. The selector position sensor is adapted to produce a parking position signal when the selector lever is at a park position. A key cylinder is rotatable to take a LOCK position by an ignition key insertable into the key cylinder. The ignition key is enabled to be pulled out of the key cylinder at the LOCK position, upon which a steering shaft is locked. The ignition key is disabled from being pulled out of the key cylinder upon absence of the parking position signal from the selector position sensor while is enabled to be pulled out of the key cylinder only in response to the parking position signal from the selector position sensor, thereby improving reliability of operation of the steering lock system.
