The containment member is a geotextile which may include cellulose based threads treated to be hydrophobic.

摘要: A vacuum insulated compartment includes an outer wrapper and an inner liner that is sealed to the outer wrapper. A cavity is defined therebetween. The cavity includes a negative pressure. An insulation material is disposed in the cavity. A getter assembly is disposed in the cavity and includes a primary getter material that is deposited on a plate. A cover layer is deposited over the primary getter material on the plate. A vessel is nested within the primary getter material. A secondary getter material is disposed within the vessel. A protective enclosure is disposed around the getter assembly.

摘要: Sorbent material sheets are attached to an inner surface of an article having an enclosed volume, such as a cadaver pouch, an ammunition storage container, or a film or video tape storage box. The sorbent material sheets adsorb vapors which are released by the contents of the enclosed volumes, while providing flexibility and without releasing particles which could contaminate the contents of the enclosed volume.

摘要: The preservation or extension of the life of oxygen perishable products such as fresh or cooked meats; fresh vegetables and fruits; dried vegetables, fruits and meats; packaged pharmaceuticals or biologicals; open and enclosed marketing display cases of meats, fruits and vegetables; and packaging, warehousing and transportation of meats, fruits, and vegetables is obtained by subjecting such products to an atmosphere obtained from gas permeable packets of an oxygen scavenging composition comprising a sodium carbonate mineral and one or more carboxylic acids. When the environment surrounding the oxygen perishable product is subjected to the packets of gaseous permeable oxygen scavenging compositions, oxygen is taken in by the scavenging composition and also the presence of carbon dioxide in the surrounding environment is enhanced thereby minimizing or eliminating the effect the oxygen on the oxygen perishable products.

摘要: A hydrocarbon-in-water purification system includes a high capacity hydrocarbon absorber stage having a high capacity hydrocarbon absorber material and an inlet configured to receive a hydrocarbon-in-water dispersion from a fuel system. A polishing hydrocarbon absorber stage is in liquid communication and downstream of the high capacity hydrocarbon absorber stage including polishing activated carbon. The high capacity hydrocarbon absorber material has a greater saturation capacity than the polishing activated carbon and the polishing activated carbon has a greater polishing capacity than the high capacity hydrocarbon absorber material. A method for controlling and managing the evacuation of water from the hydrocarbon-in-water purification system includes tracking the purification state of water volumes and the bed loading states of purification beds defined in the water filter.

The biocide can be capable of being desorbed at a generally constant rate over an extended period of time into the subterranean formation. The biocide can be an oxidizing biocide or a non-oxidizing biocide. The sorbent material can include one or more of an absorbent material and an adsorbent material. The biocide can be chlorine dioxide. The sorbent can be one or more of silica gel and graphite.
