Abstract:
Articles, for example multi-ply fibrous structure-containing articles such as multi-ply sanitary tissue products, containing two or more fibrous structure plies, wherein at least one of the fibrous structure plies is embossed and is bonded to at least one other fibrous structure ply by a water-resistant bond such that void volume is created between the bonded fibrous structure plies.
Abstract:
An embossing and lamination assembly including two pairs of steel/rubber rolls, between which respectively a first paper ply and a second paper ply are returned, wherein an upper steel embossing roll is coupled with an upper embossing rubber counter-roll and a lower steel embossing roll is coupled with a lower rubber embossing counter-roll, and also including a glue delivery assembly, in contact on a side of the upper steel embossing roll, and a coupling roll, in contact with the opposite side of the upper steel embossing roll, wherein the surface of the upper steel embossing roll and/or of the lower steel embossing roll is heated with a heating device directly associated therewith. A relative embossing and lamination method is also disclosed.
Abstract:
A toilet cleaning sheet 100 includes a multi-ply base paper sheet that is substantially water-dispersible. The multi-ply base paper sheet contains pulp and a water-soluble binder and is impregnated with an aqueous chemical agent. The basis weight of the multi-ply base paper sheet is 30 gsm to 150 gsm, and the content of the water-soluble binder increases towards a front surface and/or a back surface.
Abstract:
A method for embossing and laminating a multi-ply tissue paper product, wherein first and second webs each including at least one ply of tissue paper are separately embossed with a background embossing pattern by first and second embossing rolls in a first embossing station and the first and second webs are subsequently laminated in a tip-to-tip relationship to form a laminated multi-ply web. The laminated first and second webs are then embossed with a decorative embossing pattern by a third embossing roll in a second embossing station from only one side of the laminated web against a smooth backing roll. A multi-ply tissue product produced by the method and wherein the thickness of the multi-ply web will be substantially the same in areas that are embossed with the decorative embossing pattern as in areas that are embossed only with the background embossing pattern.
Abstract:
Apparatus for the production of a paper web, comprising: a first embossing unit (1) with a first embossing cylinder (2) and a corresponding counter-cylinder (3) for embossing a first paper ply (4); a second embossing unit (5) with a second embossing cylinder (6) and a corresponding counter-cylinder (7) for embossing a second paper ply (8), such that, once embossed, the said plies have a series of oppositely oriented reliefs (R4, R8), said embossing units (1, 5) being synchronized so that the said reliefs are nested into each other; a sizing unit (1C, 2C, 3C) associated with said first embossing cylinder (2) to distribute a predetermined amount of glue on the side of the second ply (8) opposed to that from which the respective reliefs (R8) emerge; means (11) for joining to each other the plies (4, 8) exiting from the apparatus. The apparatus comprises means (12) to form, on said second ply (8), a series of further reliefs (RC) oppositely oriented with respect to those (R8) previously formed by the second embossing unit (5), creating, on the same second ply (8), a step (S) between each further relief (RC) and the corresponding relief (R8) produced by means of the second embossing unit.
Abstract:
Provided are an electrolytic cathode structure that can suppress the degradation of an activated cathode even if a reverse current flows upon the stoppage of operation of an electrolyzer in an electrode structure allowing the distance between the electrode and an electrode current collector to be maintained at an approximately constant value, and an electrolyzer using the same. The electrolytic cathode structure includes a metal elastic cushion member 1 compressed and accommodated between an activated cathode 2 and a cathode current collector 3. At least a surface layer of the cathode current collector 3 consumes a larger oxidation current per unit area than the activated cathode. The electrolyzer is partitioned by an ion exchange membrane into an anode chamber for accommodating an anode and a cathode chamber for accommodating a cathode. The electrolytic cathode structure is used for the cathode.
Abstract:
A process for manufacturing multi-ply disintegratable absorbent sheets is provided. Each said sheet includes at least five plies including two exterior plies and at least three interior plies. Each of at least three of the plies in the sheet is in at least one group of plies and each of the at least three plies is joined to another ply by mechanical deformation.
