摘要: An enzyme electrode comprising an anode, a cathode, an immobilized enzyme membrane, and an electrolyte, which is characterized in that said membrane consists of a dense skin layer having selective hydrogen peroxide permeability and a porous layer wherein the enzyme is immobilized onto the porous layer of the membrane and said immobilized enzyme membrane is arranged in the electrode so that the skin layer is faced to the electrode and the porous layer immobilized with the enzyme is in the position of contacting with the test solution. The enzyme electrode is used for the polarographic determination of a slight amount of components in body fluid, body tissue, foodstuffs, or the like without any undesirable hindrance with low molecular interfering materials without using any other specific means for removing such low molecular interfering materials.

摘要: A bio-selective potentiometric electrode probe for the determination of amino acid concentrations in aqueous liquids comprising an ammonia gas analytical electrode provided at its tip with a closely adjacent thin layer of a fresh animal tissue containing, as a natural constituent thereof, an enzyme effective to catalyze degradation of the specific amino acid in analysis to either ammonia or to an intermediate compound subject to further degradation to ammonia by an additional enzyme, which ammonia is a function of the amino acid concentration in the liquid.

摘要: A laminated membrane for use with an enzyme electrode without the need for use of a compensating electrode. The laminated membrane comprises a layer of essentially homogeneous material such as cellulose acetate or silicone rubber which will prevent passage of even low molecular weight interfering materials, an adhesive layer containing the enzyme (with or without other materials that may be blended with it), and a layer of support film which will also prevent the passage of high molecular weight interfering materials.

摘要: Immobilized biologically active substances comprising microporous, spherical particles in gel form and in the form of a three-dimensional network. These particles contain the biologically active substance entrapped in the meshes of the network. The particles have sizes below 10 .mu.m and the average diameter of the particles is in the range of from 0.5 to 4 .mu.m, preferably 1 .mu.m. The biologically active substance is capable of exerting its biological activity against substances which cannot penetrate into the meshes of the network of the particles. Preferably, the particles are gel grains obtained by copolymerization of acrylic compounds with cross-linkers. The immobilized biologically active substances are used for labelling or separation of cells, cell fragments, viruses or tissue structures having specific receptors or of substances having specific surface structures.

摘要: The disclosure generally relates to a deoxyribonucleic acid (DNA) sequencing circuit having a controllable pore size and a lower membrane capacitance and noise floor relative to biological nanopore devices. For example, design principles used to fabricate a fin-shaped field effect transistor (FinFET) may be applied to form, on a first wafer, a nanopore that has a desired pore size in a silicon-based membrane. Electrodes and an interconnect embedded with an amplifier and analog-to-digital converter (ADC) may be formed on a separate second wafer, wherein the first wafer and the second wafer may then be bonded and further processed to form a sensing device that includes appropriate wells and pores to be used in a DNA sequencing circuit.

摘要: A biosensor device comprises a substrate base having a paper body, the substrate base supporting at least a first electrode having a growth nanomaterial surface on a portion thereof adapted to receive a sample fluid, and a contact end configured for connection to measuring equipment. A substrate cover has a paper body, the substrate cover defining a reaction zone in which the paper is exposed on both sides of the paper body, the substrate cover supporting at least a second electrode and at least a third electrode each having a connection end contacting the reaction zone and a contact end configured for connection to the measuring equipment, wherein the reaction zone is superposed on the growth nanomaterial surface during use for wicking of the sample fluid through the reaction zone.

摘要: A method of identifying a potential therapeutic compound that affects a Receptor Tyrosine Kinase (RTK) pathway in cancer cells, which includes: providing a device capable of measuring cell-substrate impedance; culturing cancer cells in serum-free media in at least two wells of the device; adding to a first well a proposed therapeutic compound that affects a RTK pathway and a RTK stimulating factor for the RTK pathway to form a test well, and adding to another well the RTK stimulating factor to form a control well; continuously monitoring cell-substrate impedance of the at least two wells and optionally determining cell indices from the monitored cell-substrate impedance; and determining a difference in impedance or optionally cell index between the test well and control well; and if significantly different, concluding the proposed therapeutic compound is therapeutically active in the RTK pathway within the cancer cells.
