摘要: Compositions, methods, apparatuses, kits, and combinations are described for permanently or temporarily re-designing, decorating, and/or re-coloring a surface. The compositions useful in the present disclosure include a décor product that is formulated to be applied and affixed to a surface. If desired, the décor product may be substantially removed from the surface before being affixed thereto. If a user desires to remove the décor product, the décor product is formulated to be removed by a number of methods including, for example, vacuuming, wet extraction, chemical application, and the like. If the user desires to affix the décor product to the surface in a permanent or semi-permanent manner, the décor product may be affixed to the surface by applying energy thereto in the form of, for example, heat, pressure, emitted waves, an emitted electrical field, a magnetic field, and/or a chemical. The décor product may also be utilized in the form of a kit or in conjunction with a design device, such as a stencil, to control the application of the décor product to create, for example, a pattern on the surface.

摘要: A process for manufacturing retroreflective printed material, the process comprising a) providing a composite comprising a temporary support sheet with a layer of microspheres partially embedded in the temporary support sheet such that the surfaces of the microspheres are partially exposed; b) applying a reflecting layer on the microspheres; c) applying a priming layer either on the partially exposed surfaces of the microspheres or on the reflecting layer; d) transferring a printed design layer from a transfer medium with the printed design on the primer layer and separating the transfer medium without the printed design from the printed design layer; e) applying a binder layer on the printed design layer; f) applying a base fabric on the binder layer and separating the temporary support sheet from the layer of microspheres, thereby creating the retroreflective printed material. A retroreflective printed material made according to the process.

摘要: A fluorescent material is formed of two sets of fibers, one set being receptive to standard dyes and the second set being receptive to fluorescent dyes. The material thus formed has a standard color under normal light, and a pleasing fluorescent color under UV light. The two colors can be very different. The fibers are preferably colored using a cross-dyeing process after they are formed into the material. The material can be knit or woven.

摘要: A method of making a glow in the dark puff heat transfer material and a composition of glow in the dark puff heat transfer material are presented in this invention. Unlike many prior art heat transfer methods, the heat transfer method utilized in the present invention adheres to OSHA regulations 29 CFR 1910.1017. The process of making the glow in the dark puff heat transfer material comprises the steps of applying one or more layers of a specific glowing material between the colors layers. The composition comprises specific amounts of a glow clear base, glow puff material, translucent inks, and an effective amount of glowing material. A printable adhesive base may be added to the composition if the glowing material is not mixed with the glow clear base or with the glow puff material. The composition is printed on a paper substrate and cured through a conventional dryer. By applying the glow-in-the-dark puff heat transfer material to a piece of cloth material, for example, a soft, high-raised design that glows in the dark and is 95% free of the toxic gases and fumes that might cause health problems to the applicant, is produced.

摘要: An improved method of making a series of bead or microsphere or particle populations characterized by subtle variation in a proportion or ratio of at least two fluorescent dyes distributed within a single bead of each population is provided. These beads, when excited by a single excitation light source are capable of giving off several fluorescent signals simultaneously. A set containing as many as 64 distinct populations of multicolored, fluorescent beads is provided and when combined with analytical reagents bound to the surface of such beads is extremely useful for multiplexed analysis of a plurality of analytes in a single sample. Thus, methods of staining polymeric particles, the particles themselves, and methods of using such particles are claimed.
