Abstract: An electrically actuated door holder and release for the multipoint holding of a pivoted door throughout a range of door open angles, and for the release of a held door either electrically or in response to manual override. The door holder comprises a channel which pivotally supports through linkages an elongated hold-open bar. An elongated friction strip is carried by the hold-open bar. The hold-open bar is normally held in hold-open position under tension by an armature spring coupled to the holdopen bar. The channel is formed with a slot which guides a slide block which moves linearly along the length of the hold-open bar in response to changes in the angle of door opening. The slide block carries a pivotally supported hold-open cam which engages the friction strip to effect door hold open in the event the armature linkage is further placed under tension by energization of an electromagnet. Upon deenergization of the electromagnet, or alternatively upon the application of a manual override door closing force, the hold-open bar is pivoted away from the slide block and the friction strip engaging cam and the door is released.

In the release position, the at least one brake element is arranged at a distance from the periphery of the disc (90) and allows a free run of the disc (90), and the load device (11) can be adjusted between the holding position and the release position, preferably by a motor (12). A brake device or a rotating drive with which a drivable part of the drive is secured against a displacement on the basis of the mass of the component to be displaced even when the motor is not being provided with power or is deactivated is achieved in that the first holding position and the second release position are each designed as a metastable holding position.

The rotatable member may include a shaft sleeve fixed to a rotating shaft, with the torsion spring in interference fit with the shaft sleeve.

Abstract: An apparatus comprises a base plate configured to be coupled to a door, the door configured to be positioned in an open position and a closed position; a closing mechanism coupled to the base plate and configured to be coupled to a hinge of the door and having an unprimed state and a primed state, the closing mechanism configured to be transitioned between the unprimed state and the primed state by a user; wherein in the unprimed state the closing mechanism is decoupled from operation of the door; and in the primed state the closing mechanism is configured to move the door into the closed position responsive to receipt of a signal, and the closing mechanism is configured to allow movement of the door between the open position and the closed position in absence of the signal.

Abstract: The present invention relates to a sectional lifting door system. When the system is in normal operation, a door operator drives a cable drum to wind or unwind a cable for lifting or lowering slats. During a process of lowering the slats, if the slats is stopped or slowed unexpectedly (e.g. the slats hit an obstacle below), the door operator is disconnected from a shaft automatically. At this time, even if the door operator is still activated, the shaft does not rotate, the cable drum does not unwind the cable so that a certain tension force can be maintained on the cable and that the cable is prevented from loosening from the drum, thereby preventing the slats from falling off. Also, it can avoid the situation that the weight of the slats is completely applied to the obstacle because the cable drum continuously unwinds the cable.
