摘要: A rotor assembly for extruding randomly shaped food items includes a one-piece finger member. The one-piece finger member reduces the downtime of the extruding machine containing the rotor assembly by reducing the number of parts in the rotor assembly and reducing the adjustment necessary after finger replacement. The proprietary threaded interface between the finger member and the improved extruder machine allows for quick swap out during extruder maintenance.

摘要: Provided herein are apparatus and systems for fabricating highly aligned arrays of polymeric fibers having isodiameters ranging from sub 50 nm to microns with lengths of several millimeters. The approach disclosed herein uses (e.g.) a micropipette to deliver polymeric solution which is collected in the form of aligned fibers on a rotating and linearly translating substrate. The methods deposit polymeric fibers on spherical surfaces and gapped surfaces with precise control, thus heralding new opportunities for a variety of applications employing polymeric fibers. The design workspace for depositing fibers disclosed herein is dependent upon processing parameters of rotational/linear translational speeds and material properties of solution rheologies. Techniques for fabrication of multilayer fiber arrays, for fabrication of cell growth scaffolds and for attachment of particles to the fiber arrays are also disclosed.

摘要: A spunbonding apparatus includes at least one nozzle, a coagulating tank, a deformation region, a slit passage, and a drawing flow pump. The nozzle extrudes at least one spinning solution. The coagulating tank contains coagulating liquid to coagulate the spinning solution into at least one fiber. The deformation region is located between the coagulating tank and the nozzle. The slit passage is connected to the coagulating tank and allows the fiber to pass therethrough. The drawing flow pump provides a drawing flow to the slit passage.

摘要: The method makes it possible to produce a seal (1) of an extruded plastics material, including a tubular section (3) with a wall of variable thickness (WT), using a distribution chamber having a terminal die plate (12) with an annular extrusion orifice (15) formed therein, corresponding to the cross section of the tubular section (3). A chamber (18) is formed in the distribution chamber in communication with the extrusion orifice (13) and into which an elastomeric material is fed for forming the tubular section (3). The chamber (18) of the distribution chamber is in open communication with the outside environment by a passage (21) which is separate from the extrusion orifice (13) and is provided to carry a flow of elastomeric material coming from the chamber (18). During extrusion, the output cross section of the elastomeric material through the passage (21) is varied so as to cause corresponding variations in the pressure of the elastomeric material in the chamber (18) and corresponding variations in the thickness of the wall (WT) of the tubular section (3) extrud through the extrusion orifice (13).
