摘要: A communication apparatus includes a user signal transmission unit that transmits a user signal required for an end user to perform communication; a manager function implementing unit that implements a function provided to a manager of the present apparatus; a license monitoring unit that monitors a license of the present apparatus, and outputs a function limitation signal when the license has expired; and a function limitation unit that limits the function implemented by the manager function implementing unit when receiving the function limitation signal. In a communication apparatus that transmits a user signal required for an end user to perform communication, a function of the apparatus is limited when a relevant license has expired, while preventing an influence of the limitation upon the end user.

摘要: System and methods for providing a target price for a target vehicle with a target mileage are provided. One exemplary method includes receiving attributes for the target vehicle, receiving prices for sold vehicles having attributes corresponding to the target vehicle attributes, and receiving mileages for the sold vehicles. The exemplary method may further include generating a linear regression model relating the sold vehicle mileages to the sold vehicle prices, and providing the target price for the target vehicle based on the model.

摘要: A temporal layer containing personalization markers (e.g., placemarks) created by a user at a given time (or time period), can be combined with map imagery, allowing the user (or other users) to show only the personalization markers contained in the temporal layer. Temporal layers can be of arbitrary temporal or geographical size, fully or partially overlapping in time or space, split into smaller temporal layers, logically aligned or combined and/or continuous or non-continuous in time or space. Temporal layers can be stored in a repository where they can be searched and used by others. Temporal layers can be associated with search services (e.g., news search) or search histories (e.g., automatic temporal layers based on search history). A user's personal profile can be compared with other users' personal profiles and the results of the comparison can be used to recommend temporal layers. Advertisements can be associated with temporal layers.

摘要: A computer-implemented system and method for providing alerts in an online learning environment is provided. An electronic gradebook is maintained for a teacher of an online learning environment and includes education related data for each student of the teacher. An event in the online learning environment is identified based on receipt of further education related data for one of the students of the teacher for entry into the electronic gradebook. Automatically upon receipt into the electronic gradebook, an alert is generated for the event by identifying a type of the further education related data received and selecting a template for the alert based on the type of the further education related data. The template is filled with the further education related data and recipients of the alert that are associated with the student are identified. The alert is delivered to the identified recipients.

摘要: An approach for reducing edge computing resources associated with autonomous vehicle infrastructure is disclosed. The approach utilizes digital twin computing to create a digital copy of the autonomous vehicle and edge computing demand. The approach can simulate the entire journey of the autonomous vehicle(s) on a travel path to determine the edge computing resources requirements. And based on the generated data set, the approach provides recommendations of proactive vehicle maintenance plan to improve edge computing capability of the vehicle based on the selected route. Other recommendation can include identifying whether road maintenance is to be performed for optimum usage of edge computing capability.
