    摘要: A wireless transceiver including an oscillator, a radio, a baseband processor and MAC device that performs apiori frequency offset correction. The radio converts between RF signals and baseband signals. The baseband processor includes a frequency correction loop, an inverter and a combiner. The frequency correction loop generates a frequency offset signal based on a frequency difference between an oscillator reference frequency and frequency of a received signal. The inverter inverts the frequency offset signal and the combiner adjusts frequency of a transmit signal by the inverted frequency offset signal. The MAC processes received packets, identifies packets received from an AP, provides packets to the baseband processor for transmission, and controls the baseband processor to adjust transmit signals to a frequency of the AP. The baseband processor may include a memory or filter to store or update frequency offset values.

The estimator estimates a cancellation parameter and the combiner combines the cancellation parameter and the complex conjugate signal to provide a cancellation signal. The converter converts the cancellation signal to a correction signal, and the subtractor subtracts the correction signal from the imbalanced signal to provide a corrected signal. The combiner may be an adaptable tap of a digital signal processing circuit.

By strategically adding a secondary sensor to the communications system, system characteristics may be altered so that the system error variance is reduced. The filtered slave signal is configured to alter the characteristics of the communications system and thereby reduce system error variance.

The TX FEQ taps may be selected so that the average power at the output equalize the average power applied to the input. The TX FEQ may be designed to yield 64 QAM packets with no quantization distortion at the input of the an Inverse Fast Fourier Transform (IFFT) processor. The 64 QAM constellation map points and TX FEQ gain values are selected to avoid exceeding the bit resolution of the IFFT processor. The tones may be bound together into zones to reduce implementation complexity by reducing the number of TX FEQ taps.

    摘要: A system that provides a multi-drop local area network (LAN) data transfer with devices on a wide area network (WAN) via a communication network is disclosed. Two methods for managing data traffic flow between individual nodes on a LAN and a WAN are also disclosed. The point to multi-point communication system may be implemented with a digital subscriber line (DSL) transceiver and compatibly configured communication devices coupled with each node or computer on a LAN. In one embodiment, the system uses a master computer on the LAN to manage protocol stacks to control the flow of downstream and upstream data traffic between computers on the LAN and WAN data traffic on a DSL. In a second embodiment, the master computer assigns at least one asynchronous transfer mode (ATM) level virtual connection (VC) to each computer on the LAN. Each computer on the LAN identifies data traffic designated to be sent to that particular computer, removes the data from the network, and notifies the master computer that the data traffic has been received. In the second embodiment, upstream data traffic is forwarded to the master computer, which maps the appropriate ATM VC identifier before forwarding the data to the DSL transceiver for transmission. Further alternative embodiments can use a community access television (CATV) network and a wireless network to bridge the LAN and the WAN.
