摘要: In an attempt to conduct an effective conversion of bioethanol into gasoline rich in aromatics and iso-paraffins, a ZSM-5 type zeolite with special features such as nano crystalline size and acidity has been synthesized. The catalyst (NZ) exhibits highest gasoline yield of about 73.8 wt % with aromatics and iso-paraffins as major components. The product measures Research Octane Number (RON) of about 95, which is desirable for the gasoline specifications. Moreover, considerable amounts of the Liquefied Petroleum Gas (LPG) (15 wt %) and light olefins (14 wt %) are also formed as by-products that add value to the process. The nano crystalline ZSM-5 catalyst (NZ) exhibits the stability in activity in terms of bioethanol conversion and aromatics yields for the reaction time period of 40 h.

摘要: A lighting device (100) has a support structure having lighting elements (422) arranged thereon. The support structure has an internal cooling duct having a duct wall. At least a part of duct wall is in thermal contact with the lighting elements. The cooling duct is configured to allow a natural air flow absorbing heat generated by the lighting elements from the duct wall. The cooling duct extends through the support structure from a first opening having a first cross-sectional area to a second opening having a second cross-sectional area. The cooling duct contains a filler body (412) having a substantially bi-conical shape. The filler body and the duct wall form a cooling duct portion with a third cross-sectional area greater than the first cross-sectional area and/or the second cross-sectional area. The lighting device is part of a lighting system. The system comprises a control unit (700) coupled to the lighting device.

摘要: Each of a plurality of acoustic sensors (acoustically coupled to a structure for monitoring) is connected to a network bus system via a preamplifier for capturing, processing and reporting acoustic events in a structure, for example aircraft structures. Each of the preamplifiers processes the acoustic event signals received from the sensors when an acoustic emission resulting from an acoustic event (defect in a structure, impact on the structure etc), and passes digital processed signal data relating to the detected acoustic event to a Remote Data Concentrator over the network for collation. The collated data is then stored and/or further processed (at a later time or in near real-time) to determine the source and/or location of detected acoustic emissions in the structure.
