摘要: In an embodiment, a list of domains is received that includes one or more categories for each domain. The categories are assigned to each domain using a classifier that is trained using features extracted from webpages known to be associated with particular categories. An administrator creates access rules for users, or groups of users, that control the categories of domains that each user is permitted to access or not access. When a user makes a request for a webpage, access rules associated with the user are retrieved, and one or more categories associated with the domain of the requested webpage are determined using the list of domains. If any of the one or more categories of the domain violate an access rule associated with the user, the request for the webpage is denied. Otherwise the user is allowed to access the webpage.

摘要: A battery includes an electrolyte, a metal anode and a cathode. The metal anode includes a porous material disposed thereon to protect the metal anode. The porous material has a zeta potential with a magnitude of at least above 15 mV in the electrolyte. The porous material can include a cross-linked polymer having segments with polar functional groups. Examples of polar functional groups include, but are not limited to, those comprising one or more among O, N, P, S, and B.

摘要: The current invention pertains to miRNAs that are differentially expressed in samples of an individual having pancreatic cancer, or having a high risk of developing pancreatic cancer, as compared to the corresponding sample of an individual not having pancreatic cancer, or having low risk of developing pancreatic cancer, respectively. In certain embodiments, the miRNAs are differentially expressed in a tissue sample or blood plasma sample of an individual having a pancreatic lesion and having a high risk of developing pancreatic cancer as compared to the corresponding tissue sample or blood sample of an individual having the pancreatic lesion and having no risk or low risk of developing pancreatic cancer. These differentially expressed miRNAs can be used as biomarkers for diagnosis, treatment, and/or prevention of pancreatic cancer, particularly, in a subject having a pancreatic lesion. Microarray containing miRNAs indicative of the presence of pancreatic cancer, or having a high risk of pancreatic cancer development, particularly, in a subject having a pancreatic lesion, and methods of use of the microarrays are also provided.

摘要: The accuracy charged-particle beam trajectories used for radiation therapy in patients is improved by providing feedback on the beam location within a patient's body or a quality assurance phantom. Particle beams impinge on a patient or phantom in an arrangement designed to deliver radiation dose to a tumor, while avoiding as much normal tissue as can be achieved. By placing fiducial markers in the tumor or phantom that contain specific atomic constituents, a detection signal consisting of atomic fluorescence is produced by the particle beam. An algorithm can combine the detected fluorescence signal with the known location of the fiducial markers to determine the location of the particle beam in the patient or phantom.

摘要: An expandable sheath is disclosed herein, which has a first polymeric layer and a braided layer positioned radially outward of the first polymeric layer. The braided layer includes a plurality of filaments braided together. The expandable sheaths further include a resilient elastic layer positioned radially outward of the braided layer. The elastic layer is configured to apply radial force to the braided layer and the first polymeric layer. The expandable sheath further includes a second polymeric layer positioned radially outward of the elastic layer and bonded to the first polymeric layer such that the braided layer and the elastic layer are encapsulated between the first and second polymeric layers. Methods of making and using the devices disclosed herein are also disclosed, as are crimping devices that may be used in methods of making the devices disclosed herein.

摘要: Disclosed herein are reinforced expandable introducer sheaths and methods of using the same. The sheaths minimize trauma to the patient's vasculature by including a reinforcing member to improve the push force of the sheath while reducing the chances of kinking during delivery of a prosthetic device. The sheath can include a plurality of expandable rings aligned along the longitudinal axis of the sheath and coupled together to form an elongated tubular structure. The sheath can also include a plurality of radial members circumferentially arranged to form a tubular support structure. The radial members slidingly interconnected around the circumference of the tubular structure to facilitate radial expansion of the sheath.
