    摘要: Systems and methods of controlling a dispatch operation of an energy storage system are provided. In particular, a degradation value of a present dispatch state of an energy storage system can be determined. The present dispatch state can specify one or more energy storage units presently coupled to the system. The degradation value can be determined based at least in part on one or more operating parameters, such as temperature, open circuit voltage, charge or discharge current, and/or contactor life. The degradation value can then be compared against one or more degradation values associated with one or more candidate dispatch states. A dispatch state can then be selected based on the comparison. One or more energy storage units can be selectively coupled to the energy storage system based at least in part on the selected dispatch state.

    摘要: An aircraft power system includes an aircraft engine having a plurality of engine spools, a plurality of AC generators driven by at least one spool, wherein each AC generator is independently operational to supply AC power to a respective AC power bus or a respective power electronics module, and at least one generator driven by a different engine spool, wherein the at least one generator is operational to supply additional AC power to each AC power bus in synchronization with each respective AC generator, or to supply additional AC power to each power electronics module in parallel with the AC power delivered to each power electronics module by the plurality of AC generators. The power electronics module(s) are operational to selectively provide either AC or DC power to desired distribution buses. Each AC generator and the at least one generator may be responsive to commands from an electrical power extraction (EPX) controller. At least one generator may be directly driven to provide variable frequency power.

    摘要: An ac-ac power converter system is provided for supplying power to an electrical load. The ac-ac power converter system provides an output voltage having variable amplitude and/or frequency. The ac-ac power converter system includes a boost inductor for applying a discontinuous current to an ac-ac power converter. The ac-ac power converter includes a rectifier circuit comprising of a first set of gate controllable active switches for converting an input ac power to a dc power and an inverter circuit comprising of a second set of gate controllable active switches for converting the dc power to an output ac power. In addition, the ac-ac power converter system includes a switch for switching between a first mode of operation and a second mode of operation. The first set of gate controllable active switches is common between the inverter circuit and the rectifier circuit and is operable at about 50 percent of duty cycle in the first mode of operation while the inverter circuit is a half bridge inverter circuit in the second mode of operation.

    摘要: A method for driving a DC motor includes generating a first voltage pulse, based on a pre-determined speed input and duty cycle, and configured to generate motor current of reference current value sufficient to achieve a desired speed according to the speed input. Subsequent pulses of the voltage are generated to maintain the current substantially within a range of the reference current. Another method includes sensing and comparing motor current to reference current value and generating an error signal therebetween, which is integrated over time to generate an integrated current error, which is compared with a reference pulse. Thereafter generating applied voltage pulses configured to: switch at each instance of the integrated current error exceeding or becoming less than the reference pulse value; generate a motor current sufficient to achieve a desired speed according to a pre-determined speed input; and having substantially zero average variation from the reference current.
