A seat assembly for use in a motor vehicle which includes a seat accommodated in the motor vehicle, hardness changing members disposed within the seat and capable of changing a hardness of the seat, running conditions detecting sensors for detecting running conditions of the motor vehicle, an actuating device for actuating the hardness changing members and a controller for driving the actuating device in accordance with running conditions of the motor vehicle by receiving outputs from the running conditions detecting sensors.

Suede-like artificial leather is described that is treated with at least one dye selected from the group consisting of sulfur dyes, vat dyes and sulfur vat dyes, and 2,2',4,4'-tetrahydroxy benzophenone. The suede-like artificial leather has excellent color resistance to light and color fastness to both washing and dry-cleaning.

In a suspension system for a vehicle, suspension arms are connected to the vehicle body by way of rubber bushings. The bushings are provided with an adjustment device for changing the resistance of the bushings in the longitudinal direction of the vehicle body. A control circuit is provided to control the adjustment device so that the resistance of the bushings in the longitudinal direction of the vehicle body is increased as the steering angle is increased and/or as the vehicle speed is increased.

A door lock/unlock system of a type having an electrically operated door lock/unlock mechanism for holding a door in a locked position and allowing the door to be opened comprises a position sensor for detecting positions of the door lock/unlock mechanism, namely a lock position and an unlock position, when a battery is removed from an electric circuit once and thereafter re-connected again to the same, with or without an intention of committing a theft of the vehicle, and a controller for controlling operation of the door lock/unlock mechanism according to the detected position.

A breather pipe mounted to a fuel tank is divided into an outer pipe and an inner pipe, a flange is integrally formed at an end part of the outer pipe on the tank side, then the flange is projection-welded to a wall part of the fuel tank, ensuring a sealability. An upper end of the inner pipe is inserted and held to a lower end of the outer pipe in the fuel tank, and the outer pipe and the inner pipe are sealed by a sealing member, tapering joint or caulking joint. Thus, the sealability at the joint part is ensured, while enhancing a joint strength without soldering which involves pollution.

Articles are attached to and detached from an object of attachments by moving the carrier toward below the parts fitting position and by the detaching and attaching device. At this time, by working the transferring device, while detached articles are received from the detaching and attaching device, articles to be fitted are delivered to the detaching and attaching device.

The instant invention relates to an apparatus for floating animal cells in a double-bag container, where an outer bag containing culture media and a volume of air houses an inner bag of a semipermeable film containing cells suspended in a culture media. The semipermeable film has pores of sufficient size so as to prohibit cells within the inner bag from passing therethrough but allowing culture liquid and air to pass through it. To optimize the exchange of nutrients between the interiors of the two bags, a protective mesh surrounds the inner bag and the double-bag container is fastened to an agitator which provides either a rotating or shaking motion.

Dual video recording/reproducing apparatus includes a video playback unit, a video recording unit having recording circuitry for recording a video output signal from the video playback unit, as well reproducing circuitry for reproducing a video signal, and a sub-picture signal former responsive to a video signal supplied thereto for providing a sub-picture signal adapted to be displayed as a sub-picture insert of a main picture. A switch couples either the video output from the video playback unit or the video output from the reproducing circuitry included in the video recording unit to the sub-picture signal former. The video signal which is not coupled to the sub-picture signal former constitutes the main picture signal; and the sub-picture and main picture signals are combined to form a display signal which, when displayed, produces a main picture and a sub-picture insert. A common housing contains the video playback and video recording units, the sub-picture signal former, the switch and the sub-picture/main picture signal combining circuit.
