Abstract: A liquid crystal display device includes a substrate having pixel regions and a counter substrate opposed thereto. Gate lines and data lines intersect to define the pixel regions. A first common electrode overlaps the data lines and is disposed on a first insulating layer that is disposed on the substrate and the data lines. A second insulating layer is disposed between the first common electrode and a pixel electrode pattern that is disposed on the first insulating layer and insulated from the first common electrode. A second common electrode is disposed on one of the data lines and electrically connected to the first common electrode. A projection of the second common electrode on the substrate overlaps a projection of the one of the data lines on the substrate. A spacer is disposed on the substrate and is overlapped with the one of the data lines.

Abstract: A liquid crystal display device includes a substrate having pixel regions and a counter substrate opposed thereto. One of the pixel regions is defined by a pair of gate lines extending in a first direction and a pair of data lines extending in a second direction. A first insulating layer is disposed on the substrate corresponding to the pixel region. A first common electrode is continuously disposed on the first insulating layer and overlaps the data lines. A pixel electrode pattern is disposed above the first common electrode. A second insulating layer is interposed between the first common electrode and the pixel electrode pattern. A second common electrode is disposed above one of the data lines and electrically connected to the first common electrode. A projection of the second common electrode on the substrate overlaps a projection of the one of the data lines on the substrate.

Abstract: The invention provides a manufacturing method of a thin film transistor substrate including: sequentially forming a gate electrode, a gate insulating layer covering the gate electrode, an active material layer, and a photo-sensitive material layer on a first substrate; performing a photolithography process by using a half tone mask to form a protective layer which is above the gate electrode and has a first recess and a second recess; wet etching the active material layer by using the protective layer as a mask to form an active layer; removing a portion of the protective layer at bottoms of the first recess and the second recess to expose a first portion and a second portion of the active layer respectively; forming a first electrode connecting to the first portion; and forming a second electrode connecting to the second portion.

Abstract: A method for manufacturing a display is provided. A display including a supporting layer, a flexible layer and a display structure is provided. The display structure has a top side and a bottom side which are opposite to each other. One of the supporting layer and the flexible layer is disposed at the bottom side of the display structure, and the other one of the supporting layer and the flexible layer is disposed at the top side or the bottom side of the display structure. When the supporting layer and the flexible layer are both disposed at the bottom side of the display structure, the flexible layer is located between the supporting layer and the display structure.

Abstract: A system for displaying images including a display panel is provided. The display panel has a display area and a peripheral area. The display panel includes a metal layer disposed on a first substrate. A patterned planarization layer is disposed on the metal layer, having at least one opening corresponding to the peripheral area, wherein a portion of the metal layer is exposed through the opening.
