Abstract: A projector with a specially manufactured optical compensation element is disclosed. One method of manufacturing the optical compensation element temporarily attaches an inorganic substrate made of a birefringent inorganic material to a base member with a temporary bond, grinds/polishes the inorganic substrate, attaches a light transmissive support substrate to a surface of the inorganic substrate on the opposite side to the side of the base member, and separates the inorganic substrate with the light transmissive support substrate from the base member.

Abstract: The invention proposes a system that interrupts a processing associated with an ADC having low priority when an ADC processing cannot catch up with ADR by an ADC alone that is not under execution but uses an ADC for an ADR having high priority. To preferentially execute ADR/ADC having high priority, the invention employs an algorithm for serially selecting ADR/ADC in the order of higher processing capacity (in the order of greater numerical values in the expression by a DPH unit) from among ADR/ADCs that have the lowest priority, no matter whether the ADR/DC is now under execution or not.

Abstract: A method which, while displacing the field-of-view, allows the image in a target area to be acquired without degradations such as out-of-focus of the image. Plural pieces of images are acquired before and after a target area while displacing the field-of-view. Next, these images are grouped into groups each of which includes several pieces of images, and integrated images on each group basis are created. Moreover, a relational expression is calculated which holds between image displacement quantity calculated by comparing the integrated images with each other and the number of the photographed pieces of images. Furthermore, image displacement quantities between the acquired plural pieces of images are calculated from this relational expression. Finally, these images are corrected by the amounts of these displacement quantities, then being integrated. This process allows reconfiguration of the image in the target area.

Abstract: A method, system and computer-readable medium are presented for performing multiple-category classification of digital documents using non-binary classification approach that is less computationally intensive and does not require the generation of extra parameters in execution. The method comprises calculating a category score for categories to which a digital document may be classified. The category score is based on the relevance of the text in document. Threshold scores for each of the categories are determined to define a number of candidate relevance types. A candidate relevance type is determined for each the categories based upon the category scores. One or more of the categories are assigned to the document by applying a multiple-category selection rule to each of the categories. The candidate relevance type is used to determine whether the categories assigned to the digital document need further validation. If one or more of the assigned categories needs further validation, the validation is performed.
