    摘要: In a high pressure fuel supply pump for transmitting rotation of a cam to a reciprocating plunger via a tappet and a retainer, a diametric force acting on the plunger is reduced. The pump includes the retainer disposed on the plunger and a return spring exerting an urging force on the retainer in a direction of the tappet. A clearance between a plunger leading end and a tappet bottom surface opposed thereto is set to be greater than a clearance between a retainer bottom surface and the tappet bottom surface opposed thereto, and a clearance between a retainer inside diameter section and a plunger peripheral surface section opposed thereto is set to be greater than a clearance between a retainer outside diameter section and a tappet inner wall opposed thereto.

    摘要: The present invention relates to a method and an apparatus for controlling a high-pressure fuel supply pump configured to supply pressurized fuel to an internal combustion engine, with a solenoid-actuated intake valve being configured to be biased into a first direction towards a first stop position of the intake valve by means of a biasing force and being configured to be displaced against the biasing force into a second direction opposite to the first direction towards a second stop position of the intake valve by means of magnetic force and to be kept at the second stop position by means of magnetic force. The method includes applying control current to the solenoid-actuated intake valve for displacing the intake valve into the second direction to the second stop position and for keeping the intake valve at the second stop position during a first time period by means of magnetic force.

The first wedge joining mechanism and the second wedge joining mechanism have an inclined surface, a non-inclined surface at a constant distance from the central axis, and a wedge member arranged between the inclined surface and the non-inclined surface. The non-inclined surfaces of the first and second wedge joining mechanisms are formed on the direct acting member. The inclined surface of the first wedge joining mechanism is formed on the alternating motion member, and the inclined surface of the second wedge joining mechanism is formed to the fixing member.

The high-pressure fuel supply pump 100 comprises a normally-closed type solenoid actuated intake valve 110 configured to be opened or kept open by magnetic force. A control current IC of the solenoid actuated intake valve 110 is controlled for opening the solenoid actuated intake valve 110 by applying a control voltage VC to the solenoid actuated intake valve 110. Controlling a control current IC of the solenoid actuated intake valve 110 comprises increasing the control current IC to a first control current value IC1 for energizing the solenoid actuated intake valve 110. Controlling a control current IC of the solenoid actuated intake valve 110 for opening the solenoid actuated intake valve 110 according to the present invention further comprises reducing the control current IC from the first control current value IC1 to a second control current value IC2 being smaller than the first control current value IC1.

    摘要: The objective of the present invention is to dampen operating sounds of an electromagnetic drive mechanism used for a variable displacement to reduce an individual difference depending on apparatus due to the control mechanism in a high-pressure fuel supply pump change over time or installation tolerance.To achieve the above objective, the present invention is configured such that before the electromagnetic drive mechanism supplies a drive force to a plunger which is electromagnetically driven by the electromagnetic drive mechanism, another displacement force situates the plunger in a specific position. When compared to an occasion where the plunger is displaced all strokes by a magnetic biasing force, the above configuration is able to reduce the force of impact on a member (for example, valve body) mounted to the plunger and a restricting member, thereby damping the collision noise. Furthermore, since an extra member, such as a damping member, is not required, individual difference depending on apparatus do not easily occur.

    摘要: The present invention eliminates a valve holder and accommodates a valve guide in a small space provided between a valve seat and a peripheral surface part of a pressure chamber to reduce the size of a pump. The valve guide guides a stroke of the valve and is provided inside the valve seat. The valve includes an annular abutting surface that abuts a valve seat formed in a valve housing to shut off a fuel intake passage and a bottomed cylindrical part is provided at an inner peripheral part of the annular abutting surface. The bottomed cylindrical part is inserted into a fuel introduction hole formed in the valve housing inside the valve seat. A member having a cylindrical surface part that supports a reciprocating motion of the valve, is fixed to the valve housing, face-to-face with an inner peripheral part of the bottomed cylindrical part.
