摘要： Methods and systems to compress and decompress sequences of images, such as video frames, including compression techniques to estimate pixel values, to determine differences between the estimated pixel values and actual pixel values, to arithmetically encode a corresponding sequence of difference values or symbols as a code value, and to output the code value and associated reference information in a data stream. Decompression techniques include techniques to read the code value and associated reference information from the data stream, to arithmetically decode the symbols from the code value, and to reconstruct the sequence of video frames from the decoded symbols and the associated reference information. Also disclosed are techniques to reduce or preclude overflow of registers or buffers used to hold code range values, and to order tables of code range values to improve efficiency of table look-up operations.

An operating mechanism moves the separable contacts between their closed and open positions. A trip mechanism includes a trip bar which rotates to trip the operating mechanism from a first position to a second position corresponding to the open position of the separable contacts. A mechanical mechanism includes an interlock cam which selectively prevents the trip bar from rotating to trip the operating mechanism.

摘要： An improved shock resistant auxiliary switch mechanism for a circuit breaker includes a common conductor having a conduction plate that is slidably translatable between electrically conductive contact with first and second conductors. The conduction plate is biased by a spring in a direction toward contact with the first conductor. An improved shock resistant circuit breaker including the improved auxiliary switch mechanism includes a crossbar that is operatively engageable with the conduction plate to releasably retain the conduction plate in a position in contact with the second conductor. When the circuit breaker is in an ON position, the conduction plate is operatively interposed between the crossbar and the bias of the spring.

摘要： The helical contact compression springs of a circuit breaker are preassembled in a contact clip for easier assembly of the circuit breaker. The bottom wall of an elongated trough formed by the clip is pierced by holes forming cylindrical protrusions extending into the trough. The clip is placed over the springs supported in a row in a fixture. A die head presses on the spring clip to compress all the springs and then simultaneously insert punches into the holes in the clip to expand the protrusions and secure the springs to the clip. The fixture includes a slide mounted on guides for movement between a loading position and an operating position under the die head. A support block is pivoted on the slide to present one of two sets of spring recesses for circuit breakers having different current ratings with the slide in the loading position.

摘要： An electrical operator includes a housing; a motor driven ball screw for operating the handle of a circuit breaker in an electrical mode of operation, and a handle extension for operating the circuit breaker handle in a manual mode of operation; a slider plate sliding through an opening of the housing between an intermediate position enabling the manual mode of operation, an inner position enabling the electrical mode of operation, and an outer position wherein the manual and electrical modes are disabled; and a cantilevered latch spring member connected to the slider plate. The free end of the cantilevered latch spring member engages the housing at about the opening thereof to stop the slider plate in its manual intermediate position. The free end of the cantilevered latch spring member deflects toward the slider plate to disengage from the housing and permit the slider plate to enter the inner electrical position thereof.
