摘要: A battery pack has multiple wall-shaped projecting portions, which are provided on side surfaces of battery cells perpendicular to a layer direction X, extend in a flow direction of cooling fluid and arranged in a direction perpendicular to the flow direction of the cooling fluid, to form fluid passages between neighboring battery cells. It further has multiple enlarged projecting portions, which are provided at intermediate portions of the wall-shaped projecting portions extending in the flow direction of the cooling fluid and brought into contact with the neighboring battery cells to receive action force therefrom. An outer dimension of the enlarged projecting portions in the direction, in which the multiple wall-shaped projecting portions are arranged, is made larger than a thickness dimension of the wall-shaped projecting portions.

摘要: An air-conditioning system includes a refrigeration cycle and a control unit. The refrigeration cycle includes an electric compressor in which a compression mechanism for drawing a refrigerant therein for compression is integrated with an electric motor for driving the compression mechanism, and a motor drive circuit for driving the motor is cooled using an intake refrigerant drawn into the compression mechanism. The control unit provides operational control to the motor drive circuit and the refrigeration cycle. When the temperature of the motor drive circuit has exceeded a predetermined temperature, the control unit varies a condition of supplying air to exchange heat with the refrigerant flowing through the refrigeration cycle to thereby reduce the temperature of the intake refrigerant.

摘要: In an electrical compressor having a motor and an electrical circuit integrated with a compression portion, a part of electrical components of the electrical circuit is disposed in spaces between a cylindrical outer surface of a motor housing and an imaginary flat surface that imaginarily contacts the cylindrical outer surface. Therefore, the spaces can be used effectively, and the electrical compressor can be downsized. Further, the part of the electrical components can be effectively cooled by refrigerant in the motor housing. On the other hand, the outer surface of the motor housing is used as one surface defining an inner space of a casing for accommodating the electrical circuit. In this case, the electrical circuit can be effectively cooled by refrigerant in the motor housing.

摘要: An electric compressor having a compression unit and an electric motor is mounted to a vehicle through a first support member supporting the compression unit and a second support member supporting the motor. A spring constant of the first support member is smaller than that of the second support member. Therefore, vibration of the compression unit is absorbed by the first support member, and is restricted from being transmitted to the vehicle. On the other hand, vibration of the vehicle is absorbed by the second support member, and is restricted from being transmitted to the compressor. As a result, inlet and outlet pipes connected to the compressor are insulated from a large amount of stress and therefore are not broken due to fatigue at an early stage.

摘要: An air conditioning apparatus suitable for an electric powered automobile, where at least one of a heating and a dehumidifying operation is effected by utilizing a refrigerating cycle. An upstream heat exchanger and a downstream heat exchanger are arranged in a duct through which air passes for air conditioning. An outside heat exchanger with an outside fan are further provided, which act as a condenser in a cooling mode, although a refrigerant passes therethrough when using the heating and the dehumidifying modes. Upon use of a dehumidifying mode, the upstream heat exchanger acts as an evaporator, while the downstream heat exchanger acts as a condenser. The temperature of the refrigerant sensed by a temperature sensor at the outlet of the compressor if higher than a predetermined value (110.degree. C.) when in the dehumidifying mode causes the outside fan to rotate, thereby increasing the condensing ability at the outside heat exchanger, reducing the amount of liquid refrigerant in the outside heat exchanger, and increasing the amount of liquid refrigerant in an accumulator, thereby preventing the temperature of the refrigerant from the compressor from increasing.

摘要: An air conditioning apparatus suitable for an electric car without a hot water source, while preventing the windshield from fogging up when switching from a cooling or dehumidifying operation to a heating operation. Upon the commencement of a heating operation following the end of a preceding cooling or dehumidifying operation lasting for a period longer than a predetermined value, a switching damper 104 is forced to move to the outside air inlet position 104A, when it is determined that a predetermined first time has not elapsed from the end of the last cooling or dehumidifying operation, and a predetermined second time has not elapsed from the commencement of the first heating operation following the end of the last cooling or dehumidifying operation.
