摘要: The present invention is about a volume-measuring device installed inside a box that used to store a liquid. The measuring device is placed at the bottom of the box dispensing the liquid, and displays via a measuring tower a measure of the volume of the liquid still in the box. The device is comprised of a receptacle or sealed pouch connected to a measuring tower. As the pressure from the weight of the liquid changes, the receptacle reacts by moving the measuring marker to reflect such change, thus measuring the current liquid volume in the dispensing box.

摘要: An assembly (30) controls the amount of downward movement of a counterweight (24) within an elevator system (20). By limiting the downward movement of the counterweight (24), a desired overhead clearance above an elevator car (22) can be maintained. One example includes at least one safety device (80, 84, 86, 88) on top of the elevator car (22) to provide an indication for when a holding member (34) should allow a stop member of the assembly (30) to move into a position to limit the downward movement of the counterweight (24). In one example, the stop member (32) moves into an employed position by the force of gravity and is manually moveable back into a retracted position when it is not needed. One example includes a guide member (60) that facilitates controlling the position of the stop member (32) when it is in the employed position.

摘要: A system to decrease the World Wide Web network usage at peak hours by clients requesting viewing of videos. The system will use a video content server and a software application running on a client's computer. The software application will schedule at off peak hours the pre-load of videos for the client. The selection of the pre-load list of videos will be calculated between the video content server and the software application based on the client's past behavior of video selections, and the current list of most popular videos available in the video content server. The pre-load videos will be stored at a client local storage. Whenever the client wants to watch videos a list of the pre-loaded videos will be presented and all selections done by the client on this list will save World Wide Web network peak hour utilization.
