    摘要: A film comprising one or more propylene-based polymers, one or more hydrocarbon resins, and one or more polyolefin additives provides enhanced mechanical and elastic properties compared to the neat propylene-based polymer. The propylene-based polymer may have (i) 60 wt % or more units derived from propylene; and (ii) crystallinity of from 0.25% to 40%, resulting from isotactically arranged propylene-derived sequences. The hydrocarbon resin may have a glass transition temperature greater than 20° C. The polyolefin additive may have a crystallinity greater than the crystallinity of the propylene-based polymer. Methods for making and using the films are also described.

    摘要: A film structure having a base layer comprising a film-forming thermoplastic polymer; and a heat-seal layer having a seal-initiation temperature less than or about 130° C. and comprising from about 50 to about 98 wt % of a first polymer component and about 2 to about 50 wt % of a second polymer component. The first polymer component comprising propylene-derived units and, optionally, up to about 20 wt % of comonomer units derived from a C2 and/or C4-C20 α-olefin, and having a heat of fusion greater than 75 J/g and a melting point greater than or equal to 105° C. The second polymer component comprising at least 75 wt % propylene-derived units, and having a melting point less than 105° C. and a heat of fusion less than 75 J/g.

    摘要: Blends of at least two polymers incorporating propylene-derived units and processes for producing such blends are provided. The first polymer of the blend is a low crystallinity polymer including propylene-derived units. The second polymer is a high crystallinity polymer including propylene-derived units. The polymer blends exhibit the beneficial performance characteristics of low crystallinity propylene polymers while minimizing certain processing and handling problems associated with low crystallinity propylene polymers. Low crystallinity propylene polymer pellets often exhibit a tendency to agglomerate because of the softness of such particles. Agglomeration of the pellets creates problems in handling and processing the particles. The polymer blends disclosed reduce the tendency of polymer pellets to agglomerate while maintaining the desirable physical properties, such as elastomeric properties, exhibited by low crystallinity propylene polymers. Various processes for producing the polymer blends are also provided.
