The film can include about 20 wt % to 90 wt % polypropylene homopolymer having a melting point of about 140° C. to 190° C. The film can have a thickness of about 10 μm to 100 μm, a haze of 13% or less, a 1% MD Secant tensile modulus of 55,000 to 150,000 psi, a machine direction Elmendorf tear of at least 5 g/mil and a transverse direction Elemdorf tear of at least 300 g/mil, and a 45 degree gloss of at least 70.

The second polymer component is present in an amount from about 5 to about 50 weight percent based on the total weight of the blend, is a BOCD or BCD blend of at least two ssPE components, and has an overall density greater than about 0.90 g/cm3. Optionally, the plastic toughened plastics include one or more third polymer component selected from propylene-olefin elastomers and ethylene-propylene rubbers, which are present in an amount from about 1 to about 50 weight percent, based on the total weight of the blend.

摘要： Elastomeric polymers including ethylene, alpha-olefin and vinyl norbornene are shown to have improved extrusion characteristics, improved electrical properties, improved cure characteristics compared to ethylene, alpha-olefin, non-conjugated diene elastomeric polymers containing non-conjugated dienes other than vinyl norbornene. The elastomeric polymers containing vinyl norbornene generally have a branching index below 0.5. Such elastomeric polymers are combined with up to 30 parts of metallocene catalyzed ethylene, alpha-olefin copolymers to improve physical properties.
