    摘要: A carburetor 9 for feeding separate lean and rich channels 12, 13 of an engine intake duct 14 comprises a body 20 having a mixing passage 22 with an air intake side 24 and an engine outlet side 26. A throttle shutter 16 is rotatable about an axis transverse the mixing passage, and a partition 10 is located within the mixing passage upstream of the throttle shutter. The downstream edge of the partition 10 is adjacent the throttle shutter axis 16A whereby in use of the carburetor the partition defines an extension of the lean and rich channels upstream of the throttle shutter, the partition thus providing substantial isolation between the lean and rich channels for all rotational positions of the throttle shutter. In a preferred embodiment a choke shutter 17 is located upstream of the throttle shutter and is rotatable about a further axis 17 A transverse the mixing passage, the upstream edge of the partition being adjacent to the axis of the choke shutter.

    摘要: A heat transfer system capable of being coupled to at least one temperature controlled zone, the elements of the system comprising: (i) at least one liquid refrigerant line; (ii) at least one expansion valve selected for R22 or R422D; (iii) at least one evaporator (iv) at least one compressor; (v) at least one condenser; (vi) at least one vapor refrigerant line; and wherein all of the elements have an inlet side and an outlet side and elements (i) through (vi) are in fluid communication together and contains R422D; and the system further comprising a sensing element communicatively coupled to the outlet side of at least one evaporator and at least one expansion valve and at least one sensing element contains a fluid selected to work when R22 is in the condenser-to-evaporator circuit, or R422D. Further disclosed are methods for retrofitting R22 containing heat transfer systems, including refrigerators and air conditioners. Also disclosed are refrigerators and air conditioners containing only R422D.

    摘要: A choke for use with a carburetor on an internal combustion engine comprises a housing having an air inlet and an air outlet the air outlet being adapted for communication with the air intake of a carburetor. A valve means within the housing includes a valve member and means biassing the valve member in a direction to block the passage of air between the air inlet and the air outlet of the housing. The valve means is responsive to engine vacuum during starting of the engine to move the valve member in a direction against the biassing means to permit air to enter the carburetor from outside the housing via the air inlet and air outlet thereof.
