摘要： A fluid ejection device includes a fluid recirculation channel, and a drop generator disposed within the channel. A fluid slot is in fluid communication with each end of the channel, and a piezoelectric fluid actuator is located asymmetrically within the recirculation channel to cause fluid flow from the fluid slot, through the recirculation channel and drop generator, and back to the fluid slot.

摘要： An emitter has an electron supply layer and a tunneling layer formed on the electron supply layer. Optionally, an insulator layer is formed on the electron supply layer and has openings defined within in which the tunneling layer is formed. A cathode layer is formed on the tunneling layer to provide a surface for energy emissions of electrons and/or photons. Preferably, the emitter is subjected to an annealing process thereby increasing the supply of electrons tunneled from the electron supply layer to the cathode layer.

The optical medium has a first zone configured to transmit radiation incident on the first zone to the first cell, a second zone disposed adjacent a side of the first zone, and a first dichroic surface configured to reflect a first portion of radiation incident on the second zone such that the reflected radiation is directed toward the first cell by internal reflection and to transmit a second portion of radiation incident on the second zone to the second cell.

摘要： An emitter has an electron supply layer and a silicon-based dielectric layer formed on the electron supply layer. The silicon-based dielectric layer is preferably less than about 500 Angstroms. Optionally, an insulator layer is formed on the electron supply layer and has openings defined within which the silicon-based dielectric layer is formed. A cathode layer is formed on the silicon-based dielectric layer to provide a surface for energy emissions of electrons and/or photons. Preferably, the emitter is subjected to an annealing process thereby increasing the supply of electrons tunneled from the electron supply layer to the cathode layer.
