摘要: Disclosed are systems and methods that provide a framework for machine-assisted discovery of Chondroitinase ABC (ChABC) complexes towards sustained neural regeneration. In some embodiments, the framework may leverage a determination of a diverse set of tailor-made random copolymers that complex and stabilize ChABC at physiological temperature. The copolymer designs, which are based on chain length and/or composition of the copolymers, may be identified using an active machine learning paradigm, which involves, but is not limited to, copolymer synthesis, testing for ChABC thermostability upon copolymer complexation, Gaussian Process Regression modeling and Bayesian optimization. Copolymers are synthesized by automated PET-RAFT, and thermostability of ChABC may be assessed by retained enzyme activity (REA) after a predefined interval of hours at 37° C.

摘要: Systems and methods for enforcing contract/protocol/law execution have a wide range of applicability. Embodiments have very low latency between a transaction and its validation and have strong scalability. An embodiment is a system for enforcing execution of a protocol among a plurality of parties. The example system includes (i) a controller provider configured to manage a plurality of automated controllers, (ii) a ledger, and (iii) an inspector. The controllers correspond to the plurality of parties. Each controller is configured to enforce execution of the protocol using a computer program integrated with the controller. The controller provider intercepts messages sent or received by the controllers and stores them in the ledger, representing history of events or operations between the parties, and the treatment of those events or operations by the controllers. The inspector accesses the ledger and evaluates whether representations of events or operations stored therein comply with the protocol.

摘要: A system for transferring objects into a device inside a controlled environment includes a winch, tool and carousel. The winch includes a drum, and wire arrangement configured to be reversibly wound onto the drum by a first drive. The tool is suspended below a distal end of the wire arrangement and configured to suspend an object. Both the tool and the object are sized to fit inside a device located below the winch. The carousel is connected to a second drive configured to rotate the carousel around a vertical axis, and includes a storage space centered at a first horizontal angle and a pass-through opening at a different second horizontal angle. The pass-through opening being large enough to pass the tool and the object as the wire arrangement is unwound from the drum thereby lowering the tool and object inside the device.

摘要: Disclosed herein are embodiments of a composition comprising at least three layers. Layers one and two each either comprises a sensitizer or an emitter, typically a metal ion or a dye, and the third layer may or may not comprise a sensitizer or emitter. Upon exposure to light, such as infrared light, the composition produces visible and/or UV light. The composition may further comprise a capping moiety, a therapeutic agent, an uptake enhancer, a detection moiety that binds to a desired target, a quenching moiety, or a combination thereof. The composition may be a particle, such as a nanoparticle, or it may be a planar composition. Also disclosed are embodiments of a method for using the composition, including, but not limited to, a method for delivering a therapeutic agent, or a method for detecting a target, such as a biological target.

摘要: A device and method for directing a cannula toward a target location under a patient's skin. The device is handheld and the device operations may be automated. The device includes an imaging probe for imaging the target location, a positioning unit for manipulating a cannula towards the target location, and a processor. The processor receives imaging data from the imaging probe, cannula pose data from at least one cannula position sensor, and device pose data from at least one device position sensor. The target location is identified from the imaging data, and a trajectory for manipulating the cannula towards the target location is determined based on the imaging data, the cannula pose data, and the device pose data. The processor may determine that the trajectory becomes misaligned with the target position, and may update to a corrected trajectory based on the imaging data, cannula pose data, and device pose data.
