Abstract:
A rigid foam or composition allowing a rigid foam to be obtained made from polyurethane and/or polyisocyanurate. The rigid foam or composition includes polyols selected from polyester polyols and polyether polyols; the polyols include: 5 to 50% of a polyester polyol A by weight relative to the total weight of the polyols; and a polyol B selected from polyester polyols B and polyether polyols B. The polyester polyol A is of general formula Rx-Ry-Z-Ry′-Rx′ in which Z is a C3 to C8 alcohol sugar chosen from glycerol, sorbitol, erythritol, xylitol, araditol, ribitol, dulcitol, mannitol and volemitol. Ry and Ry′ are diesters of formula —OOC—Cn-COO— in which n is between 2 and 34, and Rx and Rx′ are identical or different C2 to C12 monoalcohols.
Abstract:

Abstract:
Disclosed is a method for manufacturing an isocyanurate polyurethane-modified foam, called “PUIR,” including: a) providing an oil or oil mixture at least 50% by weight of the fatty acids having a carbon chain of C18 or more, the fatty acids having an overall iodine number Iiodine of at least 100 g of I2/100 g; b) epoxidating at least 50% of the double bonds in the oil to form the corresponding epoxides; and c) directly reacting, in situ, the epoxides that are obtained above with isocyanate or diisocyanate groups for obtaining corresponding oxazolidone derivatives, without passing through the intermediate formation of polyols obtained from epoxides, in the presence of at least one suitable catalyst and at least one expanding agent, so as to obtain the isocyanurate polyurethane-modified foam “PUIR.” Also disclosed are products, such as rigid insulation material, in particular as a material or panels of rigid insulation for roofing.
Abstract:
The present invention relates to a method for producing a mixture of alkoxylated polyphenols that can be used directly for producing different polyurethane materials, in particular polyurethane foams.
Abstract:
The invention relates to a heatable mixer (1) for composite products based on thermoplastic material(s), having an elongated structure defining a longitudinal processing path between an inlet and an outlet and comprising a heated trough (3) wherein two mutually interpenetrating parallel twin screws (4 and 4) are mounted, forming member(s) for dimensionally reducing, heating and moving the products to be treated which are inserted at the inlet, each screw (4, 4′) comprising a heated and driven support shaft (5) arranged in the travelling direction (DT). Mixer (1) characterised in that the thread (4″) of each screw (4, 4) is an interrupted or discontinuous thread and comprises, over at least a major portion of the length of the relevant screw (4, 4′), a plurality of first blades (6) in the form of flat and smooth plates which are separated from each other axially and radially and all arranged according to a constant.
Abstract:
A polyester polyol of formula produced by a first polycondensation (a) of a sugar alcohol Z in C3 to C8 and two diacids Y and Y′ which are the same or different in C4 to C36, and a second polycondensation (b) of the product produced in (a) with two diols X and X′ which are the same or different in C2 to C12, the polymer including such a polyester polyol. Also, a method for producing the polyester polyols and the use thereof in foams, adhesives, coatings or elastomers of polyurethane or polyisocyanurate.
Abstract:
The present invention relates to a polymerisable plasticiser formed by a hydrocarbon chain, one end of which bears more than one isocyanate function, said hydrocarbon chain comprising and/or being substituted by an aromatic ring and/or an aliphatic ring and/or said hydrocarbon chain is substituted by at least two hydrocarbon chains that can comprise an unsaturation, and the number of isocyanate functions being strictly greater than 1, preferably greater than 1.2, and, more preferably, grater than 1.5 but less than or equal to 2.2. The invention also relates to liquid polyurethane resin compositions and, in particular, stable, ready-to-use liquid polyurethane resin compositions comprising said plasticiser. The invention further relates to methods for replacing all or part of the exogenous plasticiser and/or solvent in a polyurethane resin by adding said polymerisable plasticiser.
