Abstract:
An arrangement is provided for temperature regulating a fluid sample in a cuvette transported through various stations of an automated system for optically monitoring the sample in the cuvette. A track guides the cuvette through the various stations of the optical monitoring system. The sample is in heat exchange relationship with the track by way of the cuvette. A drive unit drives the cuvette along the track. A cooling unit cools a first portion of the track. A heating unit heats a second portion. A heat flow restriction device restricts heat flow between the first and second portions of the track.

A multiple circuit board assembly comprising: a first circuit board having a first predetermined set of conductive traces on a surface; a second circuit board having a second predetermined set of conductive traces on a surface; an interconnect mechanism having a third set of traces that mate the first and second set of traces when sandwiched between the first circuit board and the second circuit board in a predetermined manner; and fastened to the first and second circuit boards together with the interconnect mechanism sandwiched between such that there is electrical contact between the first and second predetermined set of conductive traces. The interconnect mechanism can be either single sided flex connector cable, double sided flex connector cable, or Cinch connectors. The fastening mechanism can be snaps fittings or screw setups without or without resilient washers.
Abstract:
A non-expandible anchor for use in tensile zones of strong material having a compressive strength of at least 20 N/mm.sup.2 includes a cutting portion having a deep, coarse, raised, external helix formed with a cutting edge and having interruptions along the helix which act as chip breakers and permit removal of debris during insertion in a pre-prepared bore drilled in the strong material.
