摘要: An apparatus for failure diagnosis of an intake air flow sensor is provided which, when the operating state of an engine is judged to be in a low flow rate region, determines whether or not the intake air flow rate detected by the intake air flow sensor is excessively high relative to a theoretical intake air flow rate corresponding to the operating state of the engine and, if the detected intake air flow rate is excessively high, judges that the intake air flow sensor has failed. Also, when the operating state of the engine is judged to be in a high flow rate region, the apparatus for failure diagnosis determines whether or not the detected intake air flow rate is excessively low relative to the theoretical intake air flow rate and, if the detected intake air flow rate is excessively low, judges that the intake air flow sensor has failed.

摘要: A device for opening an opening portion of an upper panel of a container is formed of a lifting portion, a pressing portion integrally formed with the lifting portion, and an elongated portion extending from one of the lifting portion and the pressing portion. A fixing member fixes a part of the elongated portion to the upper panel of the container. In the invention, a bend-supporting portion is provided in the elongated portion between the fixing member and an edge near the one of the lifting portion and the pressing portion. When the lifting portion is pulled upwardly, the bend-supporting portion initially receives a force and bends thereat to provide a space for a finger between the upper panel and the lifting portion without substantially applying the force to the pressing portion. The opening portion for the container can be easily opening.

摘要: A process for producing acrylonitrile-based copolymers for carbon fibers is described, which comprises producing substantially metal-free acrylonitrile-based copolymers containing as essential components at least 95% by weight of acrylonitrile and from 0.5 to 3% by weight of a carboxyl group-containing polymerizable unsaturated monomer, at least 20% of the carboxyl groups being substituted with ammonium ions, in the presence of a redox polymerization initiator comprising ammonium persulfate and ammonium sulfite and, thereafter, spinning the acrylonitrile-based copolymer. The present invention permits production of acrylonitrile-based copolymers free of metal impurities responsible for the formation of defects in the ultimate carbon fibers. High performance carbon fibers can be produced without the need of any additional steps.

摘要: An unburned fuel supply section performs temperature rise control to supply fuel to an oxidizing catalyst disposed upstream of an exhaust purification device to cause temperature rise of the exhaust purification device using heat generated in oxidation reaction of fuel on the catalyst. During the temperature rise control, an actual cumulative fuel quantity calculation section obtains actual cumulative fuel quantity by accumulating the amount of fuel supplied to the catalyst. A theoretical cumulative fuel quantity calculation section calculates fuel supply quantity required for temperature rise of the exhaust purification device on the premise that oxidation performance of the catalyst is not deteriorated, and obtains theoretical cumulative fuel quantity by accumulating the calculated fuel supply quantity. After the temperature rise control ends, a deterioration determination section determines whether the catalyst is deteriorated, on the basis of the ratio between the actual cumulative fuel quantity and the theoretical cumulative fuel quantity.

摘要: An upper panel has a shearing line including a shear-start portion, linear portions extending from opposite ends of the shear-start portion in an equal length, and an arced portion connecting leading edges of the linear portion. The upper panel also has foldable lines and ribs on the upper panel, each of the foldable lines being located at a position inner to and in parallel to each of the linear portions, and each of the ribs extending in parallel with each of the foldable lines. A pull tab has a fixing portion fixed to a portion of the upper panel inner to the shear-start portion. The pull tab has a pressing portion extending out the shearing line so as to press a portion of the upper panel located outside of the shear-start portion when a raising portion of the pull tab is raised. When the pull tab is raised for opening operation, each of the linear portions of a part detached from the upper panel has a sheared edge curled toward the inside of a container, providing safety.
