A potential improvement lies in the overall performance of the energy storage, and in optimally adjusting energy inputs to output power. An energy storage is proposed, particularly an accumulator, having a plurality of storage elements. At least two strands of storage elements are connected in parallel, each strand including at least one storage element of a certain type, differing from the type of the other strand. The energy storage according to the invention is intended for accumulator-driven or battery-drive electric tools and vehicle batteries, particularly for electric drives.
