摘要: A catalytic glycosylation method comprising: installing thioether to an anomeric carbon of a carbohydrate; and catalytically activating the thioether with a non-oxophilic Lewis acid. The thioether may comprise an anomerically stable thioether leaving group. The catalytic glycosylation method may further comprise: utilizing an acid-sensitive ester protecting group as permanent protecting group or using a reactivity-based one-pot glycosylation that employs a single-component catalyst to accelerate an oligosaccharide assembly process. A protecting group to mask hydroxyl functionalities in the production of oligosaccharides, natural products or any molecule having a hydroxyl group comprising an acid-labile ester protecting group.

摘要: A scalable system and method is described that automatically identifies one or more generic tests for testing a GUI. A generic test case is written once instead of writing test cases for every single page or assembly. Each page has a corresponding page type. Each generic test is mapped to one or more testing rules, where the testing rules each have a rule type. An automated system is provided to scan target directories for all relevant pages related to a software product, identify a page type for each page, identify the appropriate generic test cases to be applied to each page, execute the generic test cases, and provide an output to indicate the results of the tests on the various pages. The generic tests for the GUIs can thus be automatically applied to identify and eliminate a certain class of bugs matching the behavior of the generic test case.

摘要: MEMS devices fabricated using inexpensive substrate materials such as paper or fabric, are provided. Using paper as a substrate, low cost, simple to prepare, lightweight, disposable piezoresistive sensors, including accelerometers are prepared. Signal-processing circuitry can also be patterned on the substrate material. The sensors can be utilized as two-dimensional sensors, or the paper substrate material can be folded to arrange the sensors in a three dimensional conformation. For example, three sensors can be patterned on a paper substrate and folded into a cube such that the three sensors are orthogonally positioned on the faces of a cube, permitting simultaneous measurement of accelerations along three orthogonal directions (x-y-z). These paper-based sensors can be mass produced by incorporating highly developed technologies for automatic paper cutting, folding, and screen-printing.Also provided are methods of modifying paper for use as a substrate material in MEMS devices.
