摘要: An electrochromic display is disclosed which comprises an array-side substrate (10) wherein a TFT (14) and a pixel electrode (15) connected with the TFT (14) are formed, a color filter-side substrate (50) wherein a counter electrode (53) is formed, and an electrolyte layer (80) injected between the array-side substrate (10) and the color filter-side substrate (50). In this electrochromic display, the TFT (14) is formed to have an area not less than 30% of the area of the pixel, thereby supplying a larger current. Consequently, oxidation-reduction reaction in the electrochromic phenomenon proceeds at a higher rate, thereby enabling a high-speed response.

摘要: A liquid crystal display (LCD) 1 according to an embodiment of the present invention includes a liquid crystal panel having a TFT substrate 2, a CF substrate 25, and a liquid crystal layer 14 interposed between the two substrates; a TFT ambient light photosensor having a semiconductor layer 19L for detecting external light; a photodetector unit LS1 having a capacitor Cw in which a predetermined reference voltage is charged and a voltage charged by leakage current of the TFT ambient light photosensor is lowered; and an ambient light photosensor reader unit Re1 for reading a voltage charged in the capacitor for a predetermined read period. The photodetector unit is disposed on a first surface of the TFT substrate 2 that is in contact with the liquid crystal layer, and the surface of the photodetector unit except for the semiconductor layer 19L and its periphery is covered by a light-shielding layer 21. It is therefore possible to provide an LCD in which malfunction or reduced sensitivity of its ambient light photosensor due to light from its backlights is prevented with a simple structure.

摘要: The detergent composition for petroleum refining apparatus in accordance with the present invention is one used as being mixed with a petroleum solvent when the inside of a petroleum refining apparatus is washed with the petroleum solvent in a nonaqueous system, wherein the detergent composition contains a surfactant having a solubility of at least 10 with respect to a diesel fuel at a temperature of 25° C. When this detergent composition for petroleum refining apparatus is used together with the petroleum solvent, soil components are rapidly impregnated with the petroleum solvent. Consequently, sufficient washing effects can be exhibited. As a result, the washing efficiency can be improved remarkably, whereby the washing time within the petroleum refining apparatus can be shortened greatly.

摘要: Disclosed is a method of molding an automobile outer trim part, including the steps of: (1) providing a film or sheet comprising a colored layer composed of a propylene polymer composition and, laminated thereto, a clear layer composed of a propylene homopolymer, (a) heating the laminated film or sheet, (3) feeding the heated laminated film or sheet into a metal mold including a pair of dies, (4) closing the metal mold so that the laminated film or sheet is shaped into desired configuration, (5) loosing the closed metal mold, and (6) injecting a thermoplastic polymer onto the side of the colored layer of the metal mold so that the shaped laminated film or sheet is united with a substrate layer of the thermoplastic polymer. The above propylene polymer composition comprises in a specified proportion a polypropylene block copolymer and/or polypropylene random copolymer exhibiting a specified intrinsic viscosity, a polyethylene exhibiting a specified intrinsic viscosity, an elastomer composed of a copolymer of ethylene and an .alpha.-olefin exhibiting a specified intrinsic viscosity and a colorant. The above method enables providing an automobile outer trim part having the same colored appearance and texture as those of painted part, irrespective of the avoidance of a printing step.
