Abstract: A system for processing vapor. The system includes a vapor source for producing a vapor and an outlet conduit coupled to the vapor source for carrying the vapor from the vapor source. Downstream of the vapor source the outlet conduit separates into a vapor bypass conduit and a vapor feed conduit. The system further includes a first vapor control valve disposed in the bypass conduit, a second vapor control valve disposed in the feed conduit, a first vacuum chamber connected fluidically coupled to the bypass conduit, and a second vacuum chamber connected fluidically coupled to the feed conduit.

Abstract: A quantum dot film article including a first barrier layer, a second barrier layer; and a quantum dot layer between the first barrier layer and the second barrier layer. The quantum dot layer includes quantum dots dispersed in a matrix including a cured adhesive composition. The adhesive composition includes an epoxide and a curing agent including: (a) a compound of Formula I: wherein A is a monocyclic or a polycyclic alkylene group, or a monocyclic or a polycyclic heteroalkylene group, and m and n are integers each independently selected from 0 to 5; and (b) a polyether amine compound including at least one of primary and secondary amino groups attached to a polyether backbone. The adhesive composition further includes a radiation curable methacrylate compound.

Abstract: Article comprising composite particles in an organic polymer matrix comprising a cured thiol-alkene resin having a Tg>20° C., the composite particles comprising a hydrophobic nonmetallic inorganic matrix, ligands, and quantum dots, wherein the hydrophobic nonmetallic inorganic matrix is present in the composite particles in an amount of up to 40 volume percent. Exemplary articles described herein can be made for use for display applications such as films, LED caps, LED coatings, LED lenses, and light guides. Exemplary articles described herein can be made for use for non-display applications such as security applications where quantum dot phosphors are used to provide fluorescence at selected or tailored wavelengths. In such uses, the organic polymer matrix could be a label or a coating on a label, or other articles such as a card or tag.

Abstract: The present disclosure relates to forming a bond with a high peel resistance between a bonding layer and an adjacent barrier layer. Such articles are particularly useful in the preparation of a device, in particular a luminescent device, and a method is described for assembly of the luminescent device. The luminescent device includes an encapsulation system using flexible transparent barrier film and an ultraviolet (UV) radiation curable (meth)acrylate matrix. The moisture sensitive luminescent material can be, for example, a quantum dot material disposed in a film, or a film construction that includes an OLED structure.
