摘要： A winding core comprising: (a) a cylindrical tube having an outer surface and a longitudinal axis; and (b) a core covering comprising a polymeric netting having opposing interior and exterior sides disposed on the outer surface of the cylindrical tube, wherein the polymeric netting comprises an array of a plurality of polymeric ribbons and a plurality of polymeric strands arranged in sheet form with each polymeric ribbon bonded to one or two adjacent polymeric strands and each polymeric strand bonded to one or two adjacent ribbons. Also, rolls of web material wound upon such cures in roll form.

摘要： Various embodiments of a respirator are disclosed. The respirator can include a mask body and one or more elastic straps that are secured to the mask body on opposing sides. The elastic straps can have an openwork construction and can include a netting that has an array of polymeric strands periodically joined together at bond regions throughout the array. In one or more embodiments, the openwork elastic straps are lighter and more breathable than conventional straps. This improvement in breathability can make the respirator more comfortable to wear.

Polymeric netting described herein are useful, for example, in an absorbent article.

摘要： A film comprising stripes alternating with strands is disclosed. In some embodiments, the strands have a core and a sheath. The core is more elastic than both the sheath and the strands. In some embodiments, the film has an elongation of at least 75 percent, the width of the strands is in a range from 100 micrometers to 750 micrometers, and a portion of each strand forms part of at least one major surface of the film. An extrusion die useful for making the film and a method for making the film using the extrusion die are also disclosed.

摘要： One or more embodiments of a respirator that includes a polymeric netting is disclosed. The respirator can include a mask body including a perimeter, a harness attached to the mask body, and a face seal disposed adjacent at least a portion of the perimeter of the mask body. In one or more embodiments, the face seal includes a polymeric netting including polymeric ribbons and polymeric strands, where each of the polymeric ribbons and strands having a length, width, and height, where the length is the longest dimension, the width is the shortest dimension, and the height is the dimension transverse to the length and the width. The polymeric ribbons have a height-to-width aspect ratio of at least 5 to 1, a major surface that is intermittently bonded to only one polymeric strand, and a height that is at least two times greater than a height of the one polymeric strand.

摘要： A polymeric netting includes polymeric strands and first and second polymeric ribbons. The first and second ribbons each independently have a height-to-width aspect ratio of at least three to one and a major surface that is intermittently bonded to a polymeric strand, with first and second edges symmetrically disposed on opposite sides of a center line bisecting the major surface. The netting has first and second opposing major surfaces transverse to the major surfaces of the first and second ribbons. The first major surface of the netting includes the first edges of the first ribbons, and the second major surface includes the second edges of the second ribbons. The first ribbons do not extend to the second major surface, and the second ribbons do not extend to the first major surface. Articles including the netting, an extrusion die, and a method useful for making the netting are also disclosed.
