Abstract: To provide a powder coating material excellent in blocking resistance and capable of forming a coating film excellent in color tone and weather resistance in which the occurrence of color unevenness is suppressed, a method for its production, and a coated article having a coating film formed from the powder coating material. The powder coating material comprises a resin powder, a luster pigment and a binder, wherein the resin powder contains a fluororesin and a non-fluororesin, the binder contains a surfactant having a melting point of at least 25° C., and the luster pigment is bonded to the particle surfaces of the resin powder via the binder.

Abstract: To provide a coated article, in which formation of a cured film having a fluororesin layer and a polyester layer is not cumbersome, and the cured film is excellent in weather resistance. A coated article having a cured film formed by coating a substrate with a powder coating material comprising a fluorinated polymer (A), a polyester polymer (B), an ultraviolet absorber (C) and titanium oxide (E), wherein the thickness of the cured film is from 20 to 1,000 μm, the atom number concentration of Ti element present in a region (I) within 5 μm in depth from the surface of the cured film is from 0 to 9%, the atom number concentration of Ti element present in a region (II) beyond 10 μm in depth from the surface of the cured film is from 8.5 to 10%, and the proportion of the ultraviolet absorber (D) contained in the region (I) (100 mass %) is from 0.5 to 10 mass %.

Abstract: An object of the present invention is to provide a powder coating material capable of forming a coating film excellent in weather resistance, whereby formation of color unevenness or pinholes is suppressed. Further, another object of the present invention is to provide a method for producing the powder coating material and a coated article. The powder coating material of the present invention comprises a powder component containing a fluorinated copolymer which has repeating units based on a fluoroolefin and repeating units based on a monomer having no fluorine atom and which has a fluorine content of at least 10 mass %, and a plasticizer-covered luster pigment, wherein the plasticizer has a melting point of from 30 to 200° C. and a molecular weight of from 200 to 1,000 and which has from 1 to 4 ester groups in one molecule.

Abstract: To provide a composition for powder coating material capable of forming a coating film having excellent water and oil repellency, capable of maintaining excellent water and oil repellency even when the surface is rubbed or when used in an environment in contact with water, and having excellent resistance to adhesion of organisms such that organisms such as mold, algae, etc. are less likely to adhere thereto; a powder coating material; and a coated article. The composition for powder coating material comprises polymer (A) composed of at least one member selected from polymer (A1) and polyvinylidene fluoride, and polymer (B). The polymer (A1) is a fluorinated non-block copolymer having units based on a fluoroolefin and units based on a monomer having a crosslinkable group. The polymer (B) is a fluorinated block copolymer having a segment (α) in which the content of fluorine atoms is at least 20 mass %, and a segment (β) in which the content of fluorine atoms is less than 20 mass %, wherein the difference in the numerical value of the content of the fluorine atoms represented by mass %, between in the segment (α) and in the segment (β) is at least 10, and at least one of the segment (α) and the segment (β) has a hydroxy group.

Abstract: To provide a production method for obtaining a coated article provided with a coating film having excellent weather resistance by using a powder coating material. A method for producing a coated article, which comprises applying a powder coating material comprising a fluororesin (A), a non-fluororesin (B) and a metallic pigment (C) to the surface of a substrate, and heating the substrate having the powder coating material applied, to a temperature of at least the glass transition temperature of the fluororesin (A) and the non-fluororesin (B), followed by cooling, to form a coating film on the substrate surface, and which is characterized in that the content of the metallic pigment (C) is from 0.7 to 23 mass % to the total amount of the powder coating material, the PCI value of the coating film is at least 6, and the flip-flop value is at least 1.2.
