摘要: A glow discharge drilling apparatus enables switching of a continuous mode for continuously supplying electric power and an intermittent mode for intermittently supplying electric power. Electric power is supplied in the intermittent mode with respect to a sample easily melted by a heat due to a glow discharge and a sample easily broken by a force of sputtering due to a glow discharge or the like, whereby the sample is drilled so that an observation face capable of carrying out good observation can be obtained. When the sample is not easily melted and easily broken, the sample is drilled so that a good observation face can be efficiently obtained by supplying electric power in the continuous mode.

摘要: In an image forming apparatus in which a plurality of flash lamps mounted at approximately symmetrical positions are alternately lit for exposure of an original to obtain a copied image on a light sensitive film, distribution of exposures effected by the lamps disposed at the positions is made asymmetrical such that the total amount of exposure at a portion of the original undergone the most intensive exposure by the lamp lit first is minimum, while the total amount of exposure at a portion of the original undergone the least intensive exposure by the lamp lit first is maximum.

摘要: A copier capable of binding copy papers at their center or their edge as desired. A bookbinding device is operatively connected to a paper outlet of the copier. To bind the papers at their center, a folding mechanism of the bookbinding device is activated first in order to form a crease along the center of each copy paper. Then, a binding mechanism of the bookbinding device is activated to sequentially stack the papers in an upwardly convex form and such that the creases face upward in alignment and, then, stitch the papers together along the aligned creases by means of a staple or the like. The bound papers are discharged to a stacking mechanism of the bookbinding device in a developed position so as to be stacked there while being folded double in the creases. When it is desired to duplicate documents on papers which are equal to or double the size of the documents and bind the copies at the center, a positional relationship between the documents and the papers is set up by a unique method.

摘要: A method for melting and treating waste to be treated such as waste water treatment sludge and incinerated ash of garbage involves mixing the waste to be treated with an auxiliary fuel in powder, granular or solid form or in the form of mixture thereof which has its own calorie value. Powder coal, coal, coke, waste plastic material, saw-dust, waste paper, carbonized material and used tires can be used as an auxiliary fuel. In addition to the auxiliary fuel, an additive is admixed for adjusting the composition of the waste to have treated so as to be a specific composition ratio.
