    摘要: A polishing pad which suppresses occurrence of a scratch or a roll-off on an object to be polished so that flatness is improved is provided. A polishing pad 1 is comprised a polyurethane sheet 2 having a polishing surface P for performing polishing processing to an object to be polished and an elastic sheet 3 having elasticity joined on a surface of the polyurethane sheet 2 on the opposite side to the polishing surface P. The polyurethane sheet 2 is set higher in compressibility than the elastic sheet 3, and is set lower in A hardness than the elastic sheet 3. The elastic sheet 3 is set at 1% or more in compressibility, and is set at 90 degrees or less in A hardness. Further, both of the polyurethane sheet 2 and the elastic sheet 3 are formed to have a thickness of 0.2 mm or more. The flexibility of the polyurethane sheet 2 is exerted during polishing processing so that the polyurethane sheet 2 deforms to press the polishing surface P approximately evenly on the object to be polished.

    摘要: A metal holder, and a method of producing the same, with electrode pins suitably used for a gas generator having a structure that can prevent electrode pins from being burst forth easily even when the gas generator is brought into action under high temperature. The metal holder with electrode pins includes a metal holder and at least two electrode pins for allowing passage of electrical current. Each electrode pin is larger in diameter at its head portion than at its terminal portion. Plastic members are arranged to surround a part of the respective electrode pins circumferentially. Holes for the respective electrode pins to pass through the holder are formed in the holder, and the electrode pins are fixed to the holes via the plastic members, each hole having a diameter-reduction portion at a part thereof.

    摘要: To provide a method for producing an optically active (4E)-5-chloro-2-isopropyl-4-pentenoic acid, a basic amino acid salt thereof or an optically active (4E)-5-chloro-2-isopropyl-4-pentenoic acid ester with high yield and high optical purity by simple operation.An optically active (4E)-5-chloro-2-isopropyl-4-pentenoic acid is obtained by precipitating a basic amino acid salt of optically active (4E)-5-chloro-2-isopropyl-4-pentenoic acid from a solvent solution containing an optical isomer mixture of (4E)-5-chloro-2-isopropyl-4-pentenoic acid and an optically active basic amino acid or a salt thereof, and then the basic amino acid salt of optically active (4E)-5-chloro-2-isopropyl-4-pentenoic acid is subjected to a desalting reaction. Further, an esterification reaction is carried out to obtain an optically active (4E)-5-chloro-2-isopropyl-4-pentenoic acid ester.

Further, a method for producing the following compound (4) or its salt which comprises substituting a Z1 group of the following compound (2) or its salt obtained by the reduction reaction, by a Z2 group, is provided. Here, Z1 is —CO2R1, etc., and R1 is a hydrogen atom, an alkyl group, an alkenyl group, an aryl group, an aralkyl group or a cycloalkyl group.
