    摘要: For the purpose of data compression and expansion in the playback mode reproducing data including video data and audio data recorded on a magnetic tape, a relative speed signal is generated from a circuit on the basis of the moving speed of the magnetic tape and the rotation speed of a head drum, and the characteristic of the recorded data is controlled according to this relative speed signal. The tension of the magnetic tape is detected by a circuit, and the phase difference between the detected tape tension signal and a reel rotation speed command signal is detected by a circuit so as to control the tape tension according to the detected phase difference. When a target value of the drum rotation speed is changed, a drum drive signal is changed stepwise at a predetermined time interval, and the amount of delay of a drum rotation reference signal delayed according to a signal indicative of the rotation speed of a capstan is changed, so as to determine the range in which both the capstan rotation speed and the drum rotation speed can be changed. Interfaces are disposed between a system controller and a pitch controller so as to control the tone pitch of the audio signal according to the capstan rotation speed signal.

    摘要: A magnetic recording and reproducing apparatus having a construction in which a digital signal including index signals recorded on a magnetic tape is reproduced and rotary magnetic heads are movable. The digital signal is reproduced by digital signal reproducing means including the rotary magnetic heads. A particular index signal among the index signals is detected by index signal detecting means. Further, the timing for reproducing the particular index signal is detected by timing detecting means. The rotary magnetic heads are moved and deviated in the direction of the rotary shaft of the rotary cylinder by rotary magnetic head position deviating means. Tape speed detecting means compares a reproduction clock with a reference clock and outputs a tape speed signal. First rotary magnetic head position deviation control means forms a control input for the rotary magnetic head position deviating means on the basis of the tape speed signal. Second rotary magnetic head position deviation control means forms the control input for the rotary magnetic head position deviating means on the basis of an output signal of the timing detecting means.

    摘要: A magnetic tape drive in a helical scan system can shorten retry operation time. A data signal reproduced from magnetic tape through reproducing heads is supplied to a regenerative signal processing circuit. If an uncorrectable error is contained in the signal, the regenerative signal processing circuit outputs error information to a system controller. Then, the system controller sends a retry instruction to a movable head controller. When receiving the retry instruction, the movable head controller supplies movable head control signals to displacement elements which then displace the reproducing heads along a rotating shaft of a rotary drum for re-scanning an error occurrence data track. This retry operation is repeated until no error is detected. The magnetic tape is run at lower speed or is stopped as required during the repetitive retry operation.

    摘要: A digital processing unit for converting a digital picture signal into data by blocks and for correction encoding a variable-length encoded signal. This digital processing unit includes a digital data compressing section for dividing a picture signal into a plurality of number of blocks, and compressingly outputting digital data of this picture signal based on a processing unit of one or a few blocks, a buffer section for sequentially storing the digital data, and an error correction encoding section for sequentially reading the digital data from this buffer section, and structuring an inner code for each inner block structured by this digital data and structuring an outer code for each predetermined unit of inner blocks, to thereby structure two-dimensional error correction code blocks, to output an error correction code signal. Further, the error correction encoding section has the length of the digital data of the picture signal included in the inner code set to be equal to or larger than a mean code length of predetermined compressed blocks.
