摘要: Radiation-curable, polyester acrylate-containing compositions (I) obtainable by reacting 0.5 to 20 mol % of a polyester polyol (A) and 0.5 to 30 mol % of a polyester diol (B) with 1 to 10 mol % of phthalic anhydride (C) and 65 to 75 mol % of (meth)acrylic acid (D) in the presence of an acidic esterification catalyst, a hydrocarbon (L), and a polymerization inhibitor. Reaction temperatures range from 60 to 140° C. The hydrocarbon (L) functions as solvent, forms an azeotropic mixture with water, and is removed distillatively after esterification. Water formed in the reaction is removed azeotropically. After neutralization of the esterification catalyst, free (meth)acrylic acid is reacted with an epoxide compound (E) in an amount equivalent to the acid number of the reaction mixture. The compound (E) has at least two epoxide groups per molecule. The compositions are suitable for coating the surfaces of solid substrates.

摘要: Aqueous polymer compositions and their use as coatings are disclosed. A composition includes at least one polyurethane (meth)acrylate A and at least one compound B having a molecular weight of below 1000 g/mol and having at least two ethylenically unsaturated double bonds per molecule. The polyurethane (meth)acrylates A include the following components: component A1 includes at least one polyisocyanate A1a and at least one diisocyanate A1b; component A2 includes at least one compound having at least one ethylenically unsaturated double bond, and at least one functional group F; component A3 includes at least one neutral polyol including at least one aliphatic, polymeric polyol A3a and at least one low molecular weight diol A3b; component A4 includes at least one compound having at least one ionic or ionizable group I′ and at least one functional group F′; and component A5 includes at least one poly-C2-C3 alkylene ether.

摘要: The invention relates to aqueous polyurethane dispersions that are curable with UV radiation. The polyurethanes are chain-extended with aromatic, cycloaliphatic or aliphatic diamine compound and cross-linked with aliphatic triamine compound. The polyurethanes are useful dispersions for coating various substrates. The use of the invented dispersions results in high hardness, very good flexibility and good chemical resistance in both clear coats and pigmented coatings before and after UV curing combined with very good adhesion to different substrates.

摘要: The present invention provides an aqueous polyurethane (PU)-polyacrylate hybrid dispersion obtainable by free radical polymerization of at least one acrylate polymer (A1) in the presence of at least one polyurethane (P1), a process for preparing these aqueous polyurethane-polyacrylate hybrid dispersions, wherein said process comprises a) preparing an aqueous polyurethane dispersion and b) using the polyurethane dispersion thus prepared as raw material for the further synthesis of a polyacrylate dispersion, and the use of the hybrid dispersion thus obtained as binder in filled coating materials, particularly as a binder for flexible roof coatings.
