The air inlet extends via at least one connecting duct (6, 6′) to at least one connecting port (8, 8′) in the engine's cylinder wall (12). The connecting port (8, 8′) is arranged so that it in connection with piston positions at the top dead center is connected with flow paths (10, 10′) embodied in the piston (13), which extend to the upper part of a number of transfer ducts (3, 3′). Each flow path through the cylinder and piston is to a great extent arranged in the cylinder's lateral direction, on the one hand in that the connecting port (8, 8′) and adjacent scavenging port (31, 31′) of the cylinder are shifted sideways in relation to each other along the periphery of the cylinder wall (12), and on the other hand in that the transfer ducts (3, 3′) of the cylinder are running essentially in the cylinder's lateral direction away from each transfer port (31, 31′) respectively, i.e. tangentially in relation to the circumference of the cylinder wall (12).

    摘要: A method for controlling an ignition system of an internal combustion engine having a primary firing pulse generator for charging a capacitor. An electronic switch is included for discharging the capacitor via an ignition coil to generate an ignition voltage. A microcomputer operates the switch to control the ignition timing of the generator. The microcomputer is in communication with a speed sensor that detects the rotational speed of the engine and a speed limitation control that limits the engine speed to a limitation speed below the clutch-in speed of an included centrifugal clutch. The speed limitation control is active or activated when one of either starting the engine or an operating problem of the power tool is detected. The speed limitation control is deactivated when a low speed state of the engine is detected.

    摘要: Flange assembly for supporting a structure that provides scavenging air supply to an internal combustion engine at the carburetor to the engine. The assembly includes a thin-body flange that is configured to be abuttingly installed upon an end surface of the carburetor. The carburetor has its combustion air intake or port exposed at an outer surface for intaking air for the combustion process. The thin construction of the flange enables advantageous positioning of the adaptive flange. The relative dimensioning of the thin-body flange also contributes to its low-impact as a modification to air inlet arrangement. A combustion air aperture is provided that extends through the thin-body flange. The combustion air aperture is located in the flange for alignment with the combustion air intake. By this alignment, fluid communication is established across the flange and into the carburetor when the flange is abuttingly installed upon the carburetor. A scavenging air aperture also extends through the thin-body flange and is spaced apart from the combustion air aperture. A valve assembly is operatively coupled to the thin-body flange and has a valve element positioned at the scavenging air aperture for opening and closing the scavenging air aperture.
