Abstract: A two-stroke engine possesses a cylinder, in the cylinder bore of which a combustion chamber is formed. The combustion chamber is bounded by a reciprocating piston, which drives a crankshaft rotatably mounted in a crankcase. A crankcase interior is fluidically connected to the combustion chamber across at least one transfer channel in at least one position of the piston. The at least one transfer channel emerges with a discharge opening in the crankcase interior and with at least one transfer window on the cylinder bore. It is proposed that all transfer channels have an average length as measured from the discharge opening to the transfer window, the average length being at least 1.5 in relation to the stroke, and that the volume of the crankcase interior including all transfer channels is at most 3.1 in relation to the piston displacement.

Abstract: A combustion engine having a pair of two-chamber cylinders, in which double ended pistons are located and directed toward themselves oppositely by the angle 180° and compressed together via crankshafts consisting of two crank elements, which are linked rotationally backward by a spacer bearing. The compression is realized with the use of two connecting rod pairs, from which each connecting rod is linked on the one side to with one crank element, whereas the second connecting rod ends are linked to one of shafts, out of which each shaft is connected with one of pistons via a valve rod. In the middle of each cylinder's wall the outlet channel of compressed air is located as well as the outlet channel of products of combustion together with air. In the head of each cylinder and in the compartment the fuel injector, the water vapor injector and the ignition element are located.

Abstract: The present invention is helical follower internal combustion engine. The present invention has a smooth, cylindrical follower orthogonally attached to a piston rod. The follower fits into two connected half-cylindrical, helical grooves formed by a two-piece cylindrical sleeve. The two-piece cylindrical sleeve is attached to a rotating cylindrical hub. Reciprocal motion of the piston causes rotation of the rotating cylindrical hub. The present invention has a feature that prevents the piston from rotating. The present invention can create electricity by connecting a rotor coil to the rotating cylindrical hub and placing a stator coil in near proximity. In an alternative embodiment, the present invention has an external drive shaft attached to the rotating cylindrical hub.

Abstract: To allow an intake negative pressure to directly act on a fuel outlet formed on a nozzle tube, and to guide a fuel discharged from the fuel outlet in the nozzle tube to the fuel-air mixture passage. A rotary carburetor (200) has a guide plate member (42) downstream of a fuel outlet (30) located in a through-hole (14). The guide plate member (42) has both side edges (42b) away from an inner wall surface (14a) of the through-hole (14). The through-hole (14) is divided by the guide plate member (42) into a first passage portion (44) and a second passage portion (46). The first passage portion (44) communicates through a piston groove with a scavenging passage of a cylinder. The fuel discharged from the fuel outlet (30) is guided by the guide plate member (42) to the second passage portion (46) and is supplied through the second passage portion (46) to a fuel-air mixture passage (24) of an engine intake system.

The electronic control unit (100) may be configured to initiate a speed limitation operation in response to engine speed reaching a cut out speed threshold and to control ignition timing within an operating band (320) of ignition angles prior to engine speed reaching the cut out speed threshold. The speed limitation operation may include skipping application of sparks. The electronic control unit (100) is further configured to apply a changed ignition angle (330) relative to the operating band (320) for first at least one spark initiated after the speed limitation operation.

Abstract: An air-leading type, stratified scavenging two-stroke engine. The engine including a cylinder member and a crankcase joined therewith has an intake passage, an exhaust passage, first and second scavenging passages, a communicating portion and an air passage. The intake passage, the exhaust passage and the air passage are formed in the cylinder member. The first and the second scavenging passages each has a cylinder member-side passage and a crankcase-side passage. The cylinder member-side passages of both of the first and the second scavenging passages communicate with each other via the communicating portion. The air passage is connected to the cylinder member-side passage of the first scavenging passage. In the engine, air for pre-scavenging is introduced from the air passage through a check valve into the cylinder member-side passage of the first scavenging passage, and a part of the introduced air flows into the second scavenging passage through the communicating portion.
