摘要: Provided is a low-complexity and low-power-consumption turbo decoder with a variable scaling factor. The performance of the turbo decoder is enhanced by evaluating a decoding convergence degree of the turbo decoder using a sign difference ratio (SDR) value, limiting the iterative-decoding number, and calculating and applying a variable scaling factor producing optimal performance in each decoding convergence area based on the SDR value, and power consumption is reduced by reducing the average number of decoding iterations. Thus, the performance degradation when the encoded block is large, which is a shortcoming of a conventional EMLMAP algorithm, can be prevented, the average number of decoding iterations can be reduced, and accordingly power consumption can be reduced.

摘要: A first transmission line is formed on a first surface of a substrate. A first end of the first transmission line is connected to a transmission line of an unbalanced line. A second end is connected to a first transmission line of a balanced line. A second transmission line extends from a first end of the unbalanced line, alongside the first transmission line and spaced therefrom, and is connected to a second of the transmission lines of the balanced line. A ground plane is formed on a second surface of the substrate, extends from a first end of the balanced line, and is formed along the second transmission line to which the ground plane is connected through one or more vias. A width of a portion of the ground plane adjacent to the unbalanced line is greater than a portion thereof adjacent to the balanced line.

摘要: Provided are a nonvolatile memory device and a method of manufacturing the same. A floating gate electrode of the nonvolatile memory device may have a cross-shaped section as taken along a direction extending along a control gate electrode. The floating gate electrode may have an inverse T-shaped section as taken along a direction extending along an active region perpendicular to the control gate electrode. The floating gate electrode may include a lower gate pattern, a middle gate pattern and an upper gate pattern sequentially disposed on a gate insulation layer, in which the middle gate pattern is larger in width than the lower gate pattern and the upper gate pattern. A boundary between the middle gate pattern and the upper gate pattern may have a rounded corner.

摘要: An air discharge apparatus usable with an air conditioner includes a body formed with a suction opening and a discharge opening, a blowing fan arranged in the body to circulate air, and a partition to separate a suction path defined between the suction opening and the blowing fan from a discharge path defined between the blowing fan and the discharge opening. The partition has a vortex-restraint portion, which protrudes into the discharge path to occupy a portion of a bottom region of the cross sectional area of the discharge path, thereby serving to prevent generation of a vortex of air in the discharge path.

摘要: In one embodiment, decoding of a video sigal includes predicting at least a portion of a current image in a current layer based on at least a portion of a base image in a base layer and offset information. The offset information indicates an offset based on at least one pixel in the current image and a corresponding at least one pixel in the base image. For example, the offset information may represent a position offset between at least one sample in the current image and at least one sample in an up-sampled portion of the base image.

摘要: An array of grooves (23) is formed in a first side (12) of a wafer (10) during a wafer processing method. A back grinding tape (16) is adhered to the first side. An amount of material is removed from the second side (20) of the wafer. An adhesive layer (30) is applied to the second side. Dicing tape (24) is applied to the adhesive layer to create a first wafer assembly (32). The first wafer assembly is supported on a support surface (34) with the dicing tape facing the support surface and the back grinding tape exposed. The back grinding tape is removed and the adhesive layer is severed through the array of grooves to create individually removable die (28).
