摘要： A method for generating colonography images for colorectal screening of a patient. The patient is administered an amount of radiopaque stool marker which will enable stool present in the patient's colon to be distinguished from soft tissue. The patient's colon is imaged after the stool marker has been administered to generate colonography images. Preparation of the colon is simulated by processing the colonography images to remove marked stool before the images are observed during a diagnosis session.

摘要： A separation process includes producing low temperature glassy carbon from an aromatic oligomeric precursor with acetylene groups and using the resultant glassy carbon as the stationary phase in a separation process. Glassy carbon with preselected selectivity and retention characteristics can be generated by controlling the temperature of which the glassy carbon is processed.

摘要： A cryoablation procedure at a surgery site is planned and simulated. One or more pre-procedure planning images of the surgery site are displayed on a user interface. Positioning of one or more virtual cryoprobes relative to the one or more pre-procedure planning images on the user interface is facilitated. Properties of the one or more virtual cryoprobes are selectable. Ice ball formation at the surgery site is then simulated based on the position and properties of the virtual cryoprobes. The simulated ice ball formation is based at least in part on tissue properties of the surgery site at each image unit of the one or more pre-procedure planning images. Boundaries of the simulated ice ball formation on the one or more pre-procedure planning images are then displayed.
