Preferred fusion proteins include those modified so that the transferrin moiety exhibits no or reduced glycosylation. The fusion proteins of the invention are useful for the treatment of Type 2 diabetes, Type 1 diabetes, obesity, congestive heart failure, and non-fatty liver disease.
